But its quite conceivable that they've identified the draft as being the best market for a LB (or 2). The fan base appear increasingly obsessed with names, rather than Scheme Fits. What's apparent is that we're not signing a Murray, Sanborn......players who are never fitting the scheme.
.....indeed the plan may be 2 x LB because as @LatinMind mentions we can package up or down in the Draft and sign a Bobby Wagner (as Jesse Holley's championing) to mentor them (and used in a limited 1st/2nd Down capacity)?

So 2 of our picks now need to be LB because this FO is too lazy to have a backup plan to FA?

Some fans like the FO don’t realize there are also 31 other team trying to get better. It’s not just the Cowboys in the NFL.

Those would work too LOL but self flagellation means ‘beating up on yourself’ you know, as in, ‘Cowboys fans are so spoilt, we are such bad bad unappreciative fans”. After all it has ONLY been 30 years since our team has won anything meaningful

That's a myopic point of view. Whilst he's an outstanding player, it appeared that he played for the sacks and getting into the backfield (now possibly for personal glory or money on his next contract), but it would bring into question whether he would play a Parker Scheme where he'd be asked to cover and schemed away from pressurising (for the betterment of the team effort).

He was used in coverage at times. Sometimes they used him more at linebacker than at end. I think fans have a worse view of Parsons than reality.

1. Micah was an injury waiting to happen due to him being undersized and completely out of gas the last 6 games of a season. I knew he wouldnt hold up and said repeatedly he would suffer a major injury once he started his 2nd contract.
2. The moves are considerably better than the last few off seasons but I would have liked to have got one of the top lbers available.
3. No, Dallas has not positioned themselves to do whatever they want. There are still some glaring needs on the defensive side of the ball and LT (Guyton) + OT (Steele) are concerns.
4. Love to have Allen at 20
5. Do coaches seem to have more authority? Yes. Are we still one of the worst penalized teams in the league? Also yes. Not sold on culture change at all.

How about, Plan B being the Draft?
You kind of answer your "....too lazy to have a backup plan" comment when you point out there being 31 other teams..... though my first question to Jerry would be "how much did you offer Dean/Walker and why didnt you go higher IF they were the right fit?"
