Here's how I see the first 5 draft picks shaking out.

1. Browns - Saquon Barkley RB Penn St.
2. Giants - Bradley Chubb DE North Carolina St. They are pissed off at the Browns.
3. Colts - Trade back with a team that needs a QB. Like Buffalo, who has two #1's to spend and Colts have many issues to address. Josh Allen QB Wyoming.
4. Browns- Sam Darnold QB USC.
5. Broncos- Josh Rosen QB UCLA. Since they lose Cousins who signs with a loaded Vikings team.

I think it's a horrible move for NYG to pass on a QB.

With an older QB it would be a bad move for them to pass on a guy when they are drafting this high in the draft.

Rosen seems like a pretty safe pick for me and I think the Giants would be foolish to pass on him.

If the Giants pass on Quenton Nelson, I will laugh.
As great as Nelson is, I don't think an OG has ever gone that high in the history of the NFL. If we were picking that high, I wouldn't take him. He's a sure thing, but no matter how great he is, an OG just doesn't have the value or impact on your team that other positions have. Trade down if he's the target.

These QBs aren't rated as highly as some in other years. I think the Giants will take Barkly and be thrilled.

Yeah...

Personally if I had to pick i'd take Allen. I'll go for the upside.

The problem is they don't have an offensive line to protect a QB right now. In my opinion, for what it's worth (which isn't much), they should fix that offensive line before they do any thing else, otherwise they'd be doing the same thing the Texans did to David Carr to their new QB.

Maybe. I would always take the QB over anything if given the chance.

If they don't like these QB's then Nelson is a great consolation.

If you scheme right you don't need an all world O-line. Brady is playing into his 40's because he gets rid of the ball quick.

He would've been done 5 years ago in a scheme like the Cowboys.

Drafting Apple over Tunsil is a decision that will haunt them for a while. He was gift wrapped for them after that stupid bong video.

I agree. How often do you get the #2 pick? Although, if they don't fix that line they may be there again this year.

The good thing for us is NYG is probably about to give 20 million dollars to a player that is fools gold in Odell Beckham and if they miss on the QB and still have that Oline then they are in trouble long term.

True and that's why I'm not worried in the slightest about them drafting Barkley.

That's actually what the Giants have been trying to do for the last two years; it didn't work last year, because the receivers they acquired in Free Agency were not adept to that style of offense. If they stick with the receivers they have, who ever is QB is going to need more time in the pocket. So while I would completely understand if they went QB, I really think they should fix the oline first. That may even mean next year is a rebuild year, but so be it...it's probably that anyway, regardless if they admit or not. If I'm their GM, I do all I can for the oline both in the draft and Free Agency. Beyond the oline, they also need significant help at linebacker and corner. Being that this next year is most likely Eli's last, I fully understand "rebuild" is the last thing anyone wants to talk about, but it's what needs to happen...and just so there is no confusion, I really hope they don't follow my advice.

Rumor is that Norvell (G - Carolina) will sign with the Giants. The Giants new GM is the Panthers old GM.

Even then, I'd still draft Nelson. That oline is a joke. They need all the help they can get.

They still have high picks in round 2-3. Guards will be there.

Eli is 37 years old and who knows when a #2 pick is going to fall in their laps again.

I'd laugh if they didn't take a QB. I very highly doubt Eli is going to go on a Super Bowl run at his age, on this team.

I'd take a QB, try and build up a better OL, and start clearing some cap.
