Good board, only real complaint I would make is having Armstead #1 in the 2nd round. I don't think the football skill matches the athleticism.

Ill do my 1st 3 rounds because its tough to tell who will and won't be available after that.

Round 1
Warmack
Cooper
Richardson
Sly
Werner

Round 2
Hankins
Pugh
Swearinger
K. Greene
Frederick

Round 3
Phillip Thomas
Brian Winters
L. Bell
S. Bailey
B. Williams

Edit: wait why do you have Gerald Hodges as an UDFA? He's a 3rd/4th round pick.

Not to far fetched except I dont see Dallas Thomas gettiing out of the 4th. Also some of your UDFA's I see getting drafted Gerald Hodges, Kwame Geathers, Sanders Commings to name a few.

Surprised that Datone Jones isn't in the top 5 of round 1.

My round 1 top 5 would be:

Richardson
Cooper
Warmack
D. Jones
S. Williams

#6 would be Vaccaro.

I like Jones better in a 3-4 to be honest.. Also think 18 is a little high for him.

I agree that 18 is a tad high for him, although I would take him there if we couldn't trade back a little and the other guys were gone. I'd like to take him in the mid 20's.

I disagree with him being best for a 34 though. He has played both DE and DT in a 43 scheme and that's exactly what I see him doing in Dallas. In the nickle/dime he could play the 3-tech DT position and play it well, IMO. He is only about 10 pounds lighter than Sheldon Richardson (and henry melton for that matter) and is significantly more sudden and has a more quickness. Jones wouldn't hold up as a full time DT, but in passing situations he would be a handful from the 3-tech spot. Kiffin and Marinelli would love to have a guy with his size and quickness to rush the QB from the DT position, IMO.

He also could spell Spencer when he needs a breather and would hold up very well against the run. When Ware needs a breather, Marinelli could send Spencer over to the weakside and let Jones play at strongside DE too.

I think that with his size, athleticism and versatility, Jones is exactly what Kiffin needs on defense to play up front the way Seattle plays in their scheme.

JMO, of course... but I absolutely love D Jones for Dallas and think he has a pretty unique skillset where he can play at either DT or DE.

With the up tempo offenses coming in Philly and elsewhere and the no-huddle being used more and more, I think it is vital to have a rotation on the D line and versatile guys who can be used at more than 1 position. Jones would be ideal for that.

I think he would be a very good pick up as well, and preferably in the early 20s. Also, another guy with some versatility would be S Williams in that he could play both the 1 and 3 tech, imo as part of a rotation.

True about S Williams playing both the 1 and 3-tech DT spot. He would be a good pick as well. I just like the dynamic, catalytic play that Jones could bring a little better, but Williams would add a lot to a DL rotation.

Wouldn't have any issue with him as our pick if we traded back.. Just made my list based on us staying put at our picks.

Yeah, I understand. And really, we agree about the first 3. I would just put Jones (barely) ahead of S Williams and ahead of Vaccaro.

So really, our top 5 would only vary by me replacing Vaccaro with Jones.

I do like Vaccaro though... just not as much as Jones and Williams.

I'm curious where the Cowboys rank Vaccaro versus Reid. In other words, is there a lot of separation between the two players on the Cowboys' board? It does seem that Reid has been creeping up in various mock drafts and rankings.

I'm not a huge fan of Reid.. I actually have Swearinger as my 2nd best safety..

I've heard the Cowboys like Reid though. I don't think Reid will be in play for them unless he slips to 47 which is highly unlikely.. I think if they were to trade back they have other targets in mind.

You may be right about Dallas Thomas.. Could replace him with a guy like Jakar Hamilton who I like.. And yea I'm sure a chunk of my UFA's will get drafted.

The only round I did in order was the first round.. The other rounds I didn't do in order because it really depends on the previous round(s)

You are correct I made a mistake on Hodges.. put him down without thinking.. I have all these names and more written down on paper and Hodges was a late addition and I had the names in order of projected round. Should be a midround pick

Reid really is all over the place.
I think Kiper ranks him 50 slots lower than Vacarro...not even in the same time zone

But about one out of 5 mocks put him all the way into the 1st round

Enigma

Round 2 should be looking for Kwane Short DT especially if they go OL in 1st

He takes plays off and has serious work ethic issues. Doesn't seem like a Garrett guy. I'd rather have Bennie Logan in the 4th round.
