Here is my top ten BIGGEST Cowboy victories
1. 1992 NFC Championship game - it launched a dynasty.
2. Super Bowl VI - Landry, Lilly and company gets the monkey off their back.
3. Week 17 of 1993 season in New York - if Dallas lost that game, then you very weel could have kissed goodbye the dynasty and back-to-back Super Bowls.
4. Week 16 of the 1995 season - in a home game against the Giants, and following the debacle in Philadelphia blowing 4th and 1 twice, the Cowboys were in Danger of losing home field advantage. Kevin Williams makes a diving catch on a 4th and 3 (?), keeping the final drive alive. Dallas kicked the winning FG with no time left on the clock. Dallas kept their Bye and home field advantage as they went on to Tempe for Super Bowl XXX (completing their dynasty).
5. Week 11 of the 1977 season - after opening up the season going 8-0, Dallas dropped two games to St. Louis and to Pittsburgh. In a nip & tuck battle all the way, the Cowboys get back on track in RFK and survive the Commander onslaught 14-7. The Cowboys would not lose again that season.
6. The 1975 Divisional Playoffs - the Hail Mary game launched Dallas into the very successful second half of the 70s.
7. Week 15 of the 1985 season - in a pivitol divisional game against the Giants, Jeffcoat catches a deflected pass by Too Tall Jones, seasling the division for the Cowboys.
8. Super Bowl XXVIII - the Cowboys keep their dynasty alive with probably the best played second half of football in their history.
9. 1970 NFC Championship game - Tom Landry finally breaks through and wins the NFC.
10. Super Bowl XXX - despite losing 31 players to free agency the previous three years, Dallas beats Pittsburgh to finalize their dynasty.
Other big games:
- Super Bowl XII
- Week 16 of the 1979 season (Staubach's last miracle)
- 1972 Divisional Playoff (Staubach's first miracle)
- Weeks 2, 6, & 12 of the 2003 season (Parcells 1st year)
- Thanksgiving 1990, 1994, & 1974
- Weeks 13 & 16 of the 1991 season (beating Skins & Eagles)
