It all starts by cutting Ken Hamlin. We then sign Nick Collins as a free agent. Nice playmaking safety to team up with the rest of our defensive backfield.

We then trade.......our second round pick, Tashard Choice, AND Patrick Crayton to the Chargers for Vincent Jackson and a 5th. Is it alot to give up? YUP. But we will be alot better off in the long run.

Now heres the biggy, mission impossible if you will. We trade Roy 11 straight up to the Chicago Bears so he can reunite with Mike Martz for Johnny Knox. KR/ PR/ W.R.

Now, what is the better receiving corp ? Williams, Austin, and Crayton.....OR....Jackson, Austin, and Otree/Knox playing the slot 3rd receiver. O tree and Knox give us that little MOVES guy with speed to burn, as an added bonus Knox gives us the return man we need.

Are we giving up on Roy 11 and the picks we gave up to get him? YUP, yes we are. SO WHAT. Its about making the team better NOT TRYING to cover for a MISTAKE.

1st round pick........Mike Iupati/ Guard.

3rd round pick.....cornerback

4th round pick....Inside backer

5th round pick.....center

5th round pick.....r.b to replace Choice.

Also need to find a more legit N.T to battle Siavi for the backup spot.

Free and Brewster give us depth at the tackle spot with Free fighting it out for a starting job.

BTW....LOVE what choice brings to the table, love what Jackson would give us even more.

Nice dream, too bad the sal cap blows it all out of the water thus making this thread totally irrelevant. ....:(

Actually about the only realistic part of my scenario besides the draft is signing Nick Collins. Heck of a playmaking safety there. Just what our defensive backfield needs. Still fairly young too.
