Just for a wild scenario: Dolphins shock everyone and Flores gets a star defender at #5 in Isaiah Simmons. Instead they wait on Jordan Love and also trade up to get their LT of the future. Jordan Love and Austin Jackson go 17 and 18 as the future of the Miami Dolphins offense. Dolphins give up pick 70 to move up.

26- Cesar Ruiz C Michigan- Plug and play with pro bowl level potential at C. The team saw what happened the year Fred missed and don't want to miss their window with Dak under center

51- Jeff Gladney CB TCU- Doesn't have elite size, but he's a tough scrappy defender that is sticky in man coverage.

70- Curtis Weaver DE Boise St- Not the most explosive athlete but has all the other tools to be an affective pass rusher: great hand usage, shows counter moves, and good hip flexibility to turn the corner.

82- Terrell Burgess FS Utah- Former nickel CB that converted to S his senior year and exceled. Good ball skills and coverage ability with the willingness to be a tough tackler.

123- Devan Duvenay WR Texas- Muscled up slot WR with track speed. Not the traditional slot that is an overly shifty route runner, but in the nfl era of quick throws and getting WR's in space he's a great fit.

164- Tanner Muse LB Clemson- College S with a muscled up 227 lb frame that can likely get to 235 playing weight no problem. Very fast straight line speed and likes to hit. Worst case scenario he has the makings of a ST ace.

179- Isaiah Hodgins WR Oregon St- Doesn’t have great speed, but he’s a polished route runner and has great hands to go with a big 6’4 frame. Could turn into a reliable possession WR.

231- Pete Guerrerio RB Monmouth- “The Jet” is a track star turned RB. The athletic traits are worth gambling on as a return man/3rd RB.

-Ruiz is a top 50 prospect, he isn't special, saying he's a plug and play all-pro is a big stretch
-Gladney reminds me of Orlando Scandrick, doesn't have great ball skills, but has a good all around game
-Weaver could be a Barnett or a total bust, most question his competition he faced
-You would think the team wants to draft a receiver who can play both inside/out, not a slot only

I would actually believe in our scouts alot more if we could find offensive lineman After the 2nd round once in awhile and fill the needs on defense especially at corner and defensive end.

Not a fan of Weaver or Duvenay. I think Duvernay is a down roster player in the NFL. Repleace that Weaver pick with Van Jefferson and I like mock alot better

That trade is pretty realistic value. However for a team moving to get their QB, Id hope for a little better value
To move up 9 spots in the first that’s a 2nd minimum, and probably another 1st or 2nd.

There’s a value chart that is pretty accurate to most draft trades that happen...obviously there’s outliers here and there though.

17=960 points
26 and 70=940 points

You could haggle over the late 5th if you really wanted to

This time of year people put into their heads that these draft picks are going to do what their YouTube video shows from day one in the NFL.

I especially love the argument that we dont know what McGovern is because he hasn't played, so let's draft Ruiz in the first round. As if HE has had a ton of snaps.

People absolutely do not account for the high bust rate of draftees. They are all wonderful for now.

A 2nd would be the absolute max value you would get for that pick. And thats not likely. You would need a bidding war to get to your spot for that.

If Dallas is seeking a trade down, they aren't getting anywhere near that value

Ruiz would be a forced "need" pick.

He’s a first round talent at a position we need. I don’t think it’s forced. That being said, I’d love to trade down a few spots and get him
