No one is happy with a loss. We win two games, people are generally content. In both losses we're ready to string up Bledsoe, Parcells, Roy, whomever.
This is how I look at it.
This was THEIR Super Bowl. They had everything riding on this game.
Good teams win at home. Doesn't mean I expected us to lose. I had this game originally written as a loss for us when the schedule first came out.
I figured 4-2 in division. Loss at Philly and at Washington. Any two road losses. You MUST win your divisional home games to compete.
You win your home games. I figured 7-1 at home, with Indy being the loss.
I think we can beat Indy, they can't stop the run worth a lick. We have to just play solid defense that day. We can stop the run, but double moves on Henry and the safeties are chewing us up. Did McNabb even throw at Newman yesterday?
You go 7-1 at home. 4-4 on the road (Jax, Philly, another division, and Atl/Car).
You are 11-5! That's a bye possibly.
Don't fret yet. You can say Bledsoe or Parcells have to go, and perhaps it's true, but don't just roll over and die on the team yet.
You win the games you're supposed to. It'd be nice to win the games you're not supposed to (yesterday), and it'd be even less of a sting to have the game in your hands and keep trying to blow it, but it happens.
The team played horrible yesterday. The Eagles had their best game in a while. Together, those two made the game come to the last play. Really?
I wanted a flag for illegal contact on the INT TD since Witten got popped early, but the refs shouldn't have been in a spot to decide the game after how we played. We deserved to lose.
Blame Bledsoe
Blame the OL
Blame the lack of pass rush
Blame Henry
Blame the safeties
Blame Parcells
Blame Zimmer
WHO CARES
2-2. 12 games to go
Far from over
Giants 2-0 (2-2)
Philly 1-1 (4-1)
Cowboys 1-1 (2-2)
Commanders 0-2 (2-3)
That's all that matters. Win at home, win the easy ones. Be the Seahawks. Coast to those playoffs.
