My Uncle's Killer Released

why in the world has there not been a trial yet?

That's what the hell I've been wondering. In about two months it'll be five years since he's been murdered and still no trial. Ridiculous.

Not sure if it's applicable or not, but prior to the "Warren" supreme court during the 1960's, trials and punishments were much faster. The sloth-like movement of the court system is one of those things that doesn't seem right.

That's pretty messed up...

Bond for a Capital Murder suspect? I thought only the rich & famous got that...

I just really hope they get this guy back in jail before he kills someone else. That's my biggest fear.

I'd hate to see a family go through what mine when did when my uncle got killed.

Thank God the Cowboys play tommorow. I need a distraction or a temporary one anyway.

Sorry about your uncle. I'm sure the added slap in the face of the inadequate job being done on the behalf of civility doesn't help.

The title of the 'article' says mistakenly. This is some clerical error??

:eek: mistakenly was a mistake? It would be horrible if it was true.

No it wasn't a mistake. The killer shouldn't have been released. I just got the newspaper and it's on the front page. The guy shouldn't have been posted bond. They made a HUGE mistake and now a cold blooded killer is on the loose in Texas. Here is the newspaper article.

5 years and no trial, then they let him walk out of jail. Epic fail all around. Sorry for your loss CLF.

Judges do some wacky stuff sometimes and this is pretty wacky. For your family's sake I hope this gets worked out and justice is served. Sooner rather than later.

coming up on 5 years? Something is going on there

Well the bright side is if he's out of jail, then there's opportunity for some kind of "accident" to happen to him.

Just saying.

Seriously though, that's some big time idiocy going on there, or some kind of corruption with someone higher up.

That dude should have been served the DP, not released.

I hope no accident happens to him because the piece of garbage deserves to rot in jail for the rest of his life.

I hate to say it, but if they haven't tried him by now there might be something wrong with their case.

Because they're morons.

They set a $50,000 bond before the other judge set a no bond order. Then, somehow, he wanted to post bond and got them to consider the initial bond. Seems like a mistake to me, but a criminal case pending for 5 years is a super long time even for a murder case. Any idea why the case is taking so long to try?

Well only thing I heard was this guy got a new lawyer, but that still shouldn't delay it this long.
