i feel its time for an update I also will give another update after the NFL combine. Not a lot of stuff has changed with the people i want us to draft but there are some changes.

1A Leodis Mckelvin (Troy) a lil undersized but his stock is rising i think we snag him and get a great CB to compliment Newman and he will also be a returner. Theres something about these guys from Troy.

1B Chris Johnson (ECU) this kid has blazing speed. All around ability is amazing he will come in and be an instant impact and he might even be able to push for the starting positioning since MB3 isn't a starter he better in the second half.

2 Donnie Avery (Houston) isn't the biggest guy but has blazing speed can stretch the field in an instant. Had over 1300 receiving yards he is terry glenns replacement.

3 Tashard Choice (GT) RB position is a revolving door. MB3 is a pounder type back he isn't going to be here for ever and he isn't
getting younger. This is MB3 replacement.

4 Traves Gooden (Miami) ILB from the U nuff said.

5 Tony Hills (Texas) Flo is going to get a one year deal retire a cowboy this guy will get some reps heal up and be a monster for us for many years to come. He's projecting to the 3rd-4th round but because he's injured i think he could be had in the 5th.

6 Johnny Dingle (WVU) Our DLine needs to improve Dingle oculd be an impact player.

7 Glenn Sharpe (Miami) U bias i don't know where else to go in the 7th round.

Johnson has sort of become the RB du jour. I'm sure people are impressed by the measureables (and they are eye popping), but I'd be concerned about his ability to be a full time back in the NFL (of course, I think Westbrook had many of the same concerns...not meant to be completely negative....I like Johnson)

He's certainly someone you do some special things with on offense, but I don't think he's someone you want to count on to carry the load if MB3 went down. So, in that sense, Choice does make some sense. I do think the team will end up adding two running backs this year although it'll probably be earlier and later.

Yeah, I'm not really on the Johnson boat. He does have amazing straight line speed, though. I'm just not sure he has much more than that, and I think straight-line speed for a RB is about the least valuable asset.

Two running backs in the first 3 rounds?

No way.

Plus I don't think the kid from Troy will last until #22.

It would be a shame for us to pass on this guy two RB's in the first 3 rounds sounds excesive but considering the talented pool of RB's and how MB3 is going to be our only RB in the draft and doesn't have a long term contract and is probg going to be gone pretty soon.

That can be rectified very soon... and probably will be.

we'll he will more than likely not be signed this year seeing how hes RFA so theres no rush to sign him. Jerry will dangle him out there and see if we can get a 1st and a 3rd round pick like what the chargers did with michael turner. Like i said the RB position is a revolving door position unless your one of the elite backs in the league your not going to be with a team for to long and i don't believe that MB3 is an elite back so he might be gone in 09 so why wouldn't we pick up two quality backs right now.

It wouldn't be the worst, but I really don't want us to take two running backs on the first day. I think if you take Johnson, you then take a chance one a 2nd back on the 2nd day. Someone will fall that shouldn't just like Barber did(Hart, Slaton, Rice)
