I'd choose Sanders, I think he adds more some juice to the offense

If the Cowboys only draft 1 RB, they likely keep both.

They both stink. Of the two, probably Williams. I never thought that much of Sanders even when he was considered (I guess) good.

I'm not sure if either ends the year on the active roster.

My guess is that we get two or even three running backs from this class. This class is so deep, I bet we get RB1 on day 2 (unless Jeanty falls to 12) and then we get another quality back on either day 3 and/or UDFA.

Why do you think that? Sanders has averaged less than 4 YPC for 2 consecutive years. He's only had one 1,000 yd season in his 6 years in the league. Double digit TDs only once.

Williams is a nice pounder. Attacks the LOS and moves the chains.

I wonder myself. When the Eagles decided to use him the most in 2022, Sanders made his one and only PB. Then he goes to Carolina and stinks up the place. The next year, running behind Philly's o-line, D'Andre Swift made his only career PB. Swift goes to the Bears and gets less yards with more carries. Then Saquan Barkley takes over and looks likes a HoF player running behind Philly's o-line, showing what an elite back can do with that line.

So...was Sanders' success more a result of running behind Philly's line? I'd like to know. I'd lean toward Williams if fully healthy.

Javonte. No one in Denver ran very well. There is at least a chance the change of scenery makes a difference.

Sanders sucked in Carolina and Chuba went for 1200 and 10. Maybe it was scheme fit, but I'd put my money on Javonte.

I'd prefer neither, but williams can at least pass protect so might be a 3rd down back option. Sanders used to have juice but based in his sub 4ypc for the last 2 years it seems he's done. But, maybe that was his circumstance or scheme. He hasn't had a ton of carries so who knows.

i’m in the rockies now and had a chance to watch william’s a lot last year and he’s good… not sure why denver got rid of him. he’s always falling forward moving the chains and getting + yards. good balance when hit. able to stay on his feet.

They may keep both as they may only draft 1 RB if in the 1st 3 rounds. Then a flyer on one late, but may be more PS type guy. If no better player is there.

Keep in mind, They may not keep Deuce. Leupke, maybe, depends how the new staff values a FB. Can Williams take his place.

If they draft a RB like Henderson, who is an all around RB such Zeke was. Run, catch, block. That can make Leupke more expendable. I like Leupke, but how valuable is he to take a roster spot. Will they have package for Deuce, and can they execute those plays.

IMO, Sanders is a decent RB, that's it. Barkley is good but not great.

He hasn't regained the burst that made him special after his horrific knee injury in 2022. We're actually getting him at the right time, as that's about how long it takes to recover, 2-3 years.

IMO, Sanders is a decent RB, that's it. Barkley is good but not great.

No. Barkley is great. Few running backs in the NFL could have done what he did last season. It’s one thing to have a good offensive line. Producing what Barkley did takes a great running back.

He literally changed the whole league’s focus on running backs. The Cowboys, who do not delve into free agency much, have already signed two FA RBs and are likely considering drafting one in the first three rounds. Barkley even got Jerry’s attention.
