Myron Rolle-DB- Player Mar. 19 - 2:03 pm et

The master list of forty times distributed to all 32 teams from the Combine reportedly has Myron Rolle's forty time at 4.76.

Rolle was reportedly running sub-4.5s at Tom Shaw's performance institute prior to Indianapolis, so the slow time was surprising. It will likely also prevent Rolle from being drafted before round four. Teams will view him only as a backup and special teamer, rather than a future starter.

I'd take a flyer on him late.

So would I. Either he will either become a quality starter, or he will be solid backup/special teamer. And I'd much rather have a 4.76 guy with high character, than a 4.3 guy who can't stay out of police reports.

Count me in that group too. I don't mind when we gamble in the late rounds of a Draft. No guts, no glory.

Sometimes slow and smart kids can play this game. Not always, but sometimes. The guys who make up for a lack of speed with hard work, preparation, and desire, find a way.

I'd draft him in the 4th round. High character kid.

He might not be that fast, but yes, I agree he's VERY high character. I'd draft him.

I think his 40-time is deceptive anyway. Remember the Taylor Mays fiasco...what would lead you to believe any other times were any different?

There are some positions where a total lack of athletic ability might not stand out so much, but safeties who struggle to run 4.7 40's are a recipe for disaster on pass defense.

Great kid, but if he makes a NFL teams final roster I am going to be surprised.
