TAMPA, Fla. - Did the weather guys get it wrong?

At first blush, it would appear so. There's nothing but brilliant sunshine here, this despite forecasts on last night's TV news calling for a 60 percent chance of scattered showers.

The rain may come later, but for now it's all clear.

Don't forget to catch "Free Reign" playing its debut song "Rise Up" on FOX's pre-game show this morning. "Free Reign" is made up of Cowboys offensive linemen Leonard Davis, Cory Proctor and Marc Colombo and Texan guitar virtuoso Justin Chapman.

12 pm - 84° F -10% Chance Rain
01 pm - 83° F -40% Chance Rain
02 pm - 82° F -55% Chance Rain
03 pm - 82° F -70% Chance Rain

Last night these numbers were 80% chance rain. Also, all the sideline reporting right now looks sunny.

They just interviewed Sham on NFL network, looked like the sun was out. I'm sure once it starts heating up the showers will come. I'm not too worried about it.

I understand your concern but if they can't play in the rain maybe they should take up baseball, tennis or golf or basketball or something. One thing I have always liked about football is that it is played regardless of the weather - just like in real life.

Good teams succeed in spite of adverse weather conditions while poor teams or the fans of poor teams use the weather or anything else as an excuse for failure. It rains on both sides of the LOS.

I think this year the Cowboys improved running game will allow them to do well in all kinds of weather as long as they keep their heads straight.

Updating this report

12 pm - 86° F - 40% Chance Rain
01 pm - 85° F - 15% Chance Rain
02 pm - 85° F - 20% Chance Rain
03 pm - 84° F - 30% Chance Rain

This is great news for gametime for those who didn't want rain.

Amen! If a little rain bothers them they shouldn't have hopped on the flight to Tampa
