CARROLLTON - Undrafted free agent WR Kevin Ogletree (Virginia) is working with the first team in three-receiver sets ahead of seventh-round pick Manuel Johnson (Oklahoma).

Of course, Ogletree is benefiting from the injuries that have sidelined Sam Hurd and Miles Austin, but it also needs to be said that he's making the most of the opportunity. He's shown good hands, making several catches during 7-on-7 drills and another during team drills.

Johnson, though, has had his moments. In fact, he just made a nice sideline grab on a pass from backup Jon Kitna.

Stanback is on thin ice

maybe even Hurd too, although Hurd is pretty polished, he just doesn't have the speed of Manuel or Ogletree

I really think he could be gone if Ogletree can show anything.

Hurd's pretty much a given to make it. Those rookies just can't make up for the experience he has over them.

This is, however, also what I'm hoping. Williams, Crayton, Austin, Hurd, Manuel, and Ogletree (I guess, ugh)

You're going to need them anyway because at this point I'd say it's more likely than not that Austin and/or Hurd WILL be sidelined during the regular season with an injury.

Stanback should be on thin ice. He has shown absolutely nothing in all his time in Dallas.

I like Stanback and think he can be a really good player if he can get and stay healthy. he has size , speed and a burst that can not be taught.
