DALLAS - If Drew Pearson was coaching them, they certainly would.

Pearson said at Wednesday's ribbon-cutting ceremony at Cowboys Stadium that visiting teams will be at a disadvantage if they don't do a walkthrough at the 3 million-square foot venue.

The Cowboys host the Giants on Sept. 20 in the first regular season game at the stadium.

"I would recommend that all teams come in a day early to practice here and get a look at the stadium so they can get past the wow factor and the excitement of playing here so that when it comes time to play that will be behind them and they can concentrate on playing the game," the former Cowboys star receiver said. "Otherwise, if they step in here for the first time, they are going to be in awe and it's going to cause them to lose some focus on the game for sure. Advantage Cowboys."

Doesn't every team do a walkthrough in their streetclothes, even in familiar stadiums?

I think the wow factor would dissipate over the three hours of warm-ups they do prior to the game.

It would've been an advantage if Drew had kept his mouth shut. Now teams know to get the awe out of their system beforehand. Thanks a lot, Drew.

No, seriously, once the game starts, it won't be intimidating unless the fans in the new stadium are somehow way more vocal than at Texas Stadium. Remember the last Monday Night game at Texas Stadium (Eagles game)? I have never heard a Dallas crowd that loud before. If the fans take on a personality like that, then The Mothership will indeed be a venue that scares the crap out of the opposition.

Fans in most places are feed off the team. If the Boys win the first game in spectacular fashion, you'll probably see a huge boisterous crowd. If they lose, it'll be a bit more subdued.

Shhhhhh, be quiet Drew, let the players be awed when they play us

dont get me wrong, i loved drew pearson as a player, and i met him in person, he is a down to earth person, and treats you as a person, no matter who you are;

Jerry should tell the staff to lose the keys to the Stadium on the day before the game. :)

yeah I guess that 3+ hours prior to kickoff wouldnt do anything to get the awe out of them before kickoff.

Sorry but this is a stretch, IMO.
