The win over New Orleans marked the fourth straight game that Tony Romo finished with no turnovers and the fourth straight game he finished with a 100-plus passer rating.

With the Commanders employing the league's fifth-ranked defense, he could be hard pressed to continue those streaks.

In the 7-6 win over Washington on Nov. 22, Romo completed just 15-of-27 passes (55.6 percent) for only 158 yards with one touchdown and one interception, a rating of 69.7.

Faced with a defense that positioned its safeties deep, Romo's longest completion covered just 23 yards. If Washington is to pull off the upset, it will have to duplicate its defensive effort from the first meeting. That means the safeties will once again focus on containing Miles Austin.

If that happens, Romo will have to stay patient and work the safe underneath outlet. Another way to counter the two-deep zone is with a strong running game that will draw the safeties closer and make the defense susceptible to play action.

If Garrett calls the same type of game plan, we should be successful.

I see 9 routes all night long from Austin even with the 2 deep coverage. Though most will be broken off to a post which is something that Austin and Romo has to be on the same page with each other. They have had more time together and are learning more about each other.

This should be a fun game from our perspective.

Pure misery from the skin's.

Which really is the same thing. :D

As long as his roll of being undefeated (10-0) in prime time away games continues, I don't care.....

Provided he doesn't get kneed in the back on a Barber fumble again, I think he'll be fine.

Romo was the hero in that game. Had he not made that tackle, we'd probably lose.

That knee also affected his throws the rest of the game.

This just in.........water is wet.
Can't believe people get paid for this crap. We get better stuff here and to the best of my knowledge none of the posters are paid.

Tony Romo's interception-less streak at 156 passes

Tony Romo has gone 156 straight passes without an interception, the longest stretch of his career and the third-longest in Cowboys history, tied with Don Meredith (1965-66).

Romo's last pick was on a fourth-down throw to Miles Austin that Washington's London Fletcher came up with to end a drive.

"It's unrealistic to think you're going to 16 games without throwing an interception, but that's the goal," Romo said. "The goal each week is to not give the other team an advantage with the ball in bad situations. The importance of the ball matters. For me I'm seeing it, I'm doing some things a little differently that I'm not going to tell you. But they've helped me to minimize certain decisions that I've made in the past and that's part of growing up and being experienced on the football field."

Dumb blog. He should have speculated whether or not the Skins will ever regain their manhood after being humiliated by the Giants. At least there is some basis in fact for talking about that.

That is impressive isn't it?

If things only go half way our way these next two weeks and we make the playoffs as a wildcard..............

I would at least hope our wildcard road game draws the Saturday Night spot!;)

And there folks you have a matured QB who gets "it"....

The funny thing about his last interception is that we actually ended up with slightly better field position than if his fourth down pass to Austin had fallen incomplete since the Commander was tackled immediately.

One of the things I noticed after watching the game again was that there was no fear in Romo's eyes. The dude is a competitor and not afraid to go up against anybody. One thing I'm confident of is that each week he will be well prepared and give it his best effort. If he starts having a bad game he will do all he can to adapt to the situation. If he loses he will bounce back next week. I think that's all you can ask out of any QB.

Our previous 3 opponents (Giants, Chargers, Saints) average a defensive passer rating of 80.3, allowing 15 TD's, with 16.3 INT's.

Our next two opponents (Skins, Philly) average a defensive passer rating of 80.1, giving up 19 TD's, with 15.5 INT's

The league averages are 81.5 rating, allowing 19.7 TD, with 14.3 INT, so Romo's recent success has come against pass defenses that are slightly better than average, and the next two games don't constitute much of a change from that.

So how is it a 9 if you're running a skinny in 2 deep coverage? Wouldn't that therefore be an 8?

Or if we win the turnover battle 3-0, and keep our mistakes to a minimum.

Does anyone know who holds record, and is at second, and what the numbers are?
