IRVING - Tight end Jason Witten says he's impressed with how quickly newly acquired receiver Roy Williams has picked up the offense.

"He's done a great job picking it up," Witten said. "I think they ran the (same) numbering system in Detroit, so he seems pretty familiar with it. He just needs to get his timing down. I think he'll definitely be able to play (Sunday) and do some damage for us. He understands the system, he catches the ball really well, big target that he is. I think he'll help us a lot."

very nice. i know my boy Roy was happy as hell when he got out of that trash dump organization called the detroit lions! he's gonna be a beast for Dallas!

I figured he'd learn enough to do something for this weekend. I don't know how much he'll do but I wouldn't be shocked, at all, if he got 4 or 5 balls.

First offensive play from scrimmage - downtown to Roy Williams.

And I don't care if everyone in the stadium knows it's coming!

I would set the tone that this guy is a key component of this offense immediately.

we'll see but i doubt he does a lot.

If nothing else hes a guy you can tell to run down field. Hes going to draw a lot of attention the further he gets downfield because 5'10 corners dont stand a chance if its a jump ball which he excells at.

I think the first pass should go to T.O.. We need to show him that we still love him too. :laugh2:

I would smile ear to ear if they not only did this but scored on it.
