A single-practice record crowd of 13,708 watched Saturday's afternoon practice at the Alamodome.

When Cowboys spokesman Rich Dalrymple gave me the news, my response was, "Just imagine what it would have been if Terrell Owens was still with the team."

The crowd was animated from the start, cheering loudly whenever stars like Marion Barber or Tony Romo took the field.

"When I got out here I heard all of the people in the stands and I was like, 'Are we having a scrimmage or something today?' " linebacker Anthony Spencer said.

Expect another big showing for Sunday's workout, which start at 8:50 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.

What is Tom Osborne talking about? I don't think TO makes a difference as far as Cowboys fan turnout. A lot of people bought his jersey and are still wearing them, but the crowd is there for the Cowboys, not just one player.

In case he forgot...T.O. WAS here....in 2007. And obviously, no records were broken. I was there yesterday. It was fun to be surrounded by so many friends!
