That’s where Navarro tight end Chase Harper enters the picture. He also has dreams of playing big time college football. With a 6-4, 260-pound frame, he is built for it, too. He is one of the top first-year recruits for Franchione.
Harper hasn’t even started class at Texas State, but some around campus can’t wait for his arrival. Texas State had its pro-day in March. Even though Chase didn’t attend, the NFL scouts that were there already knew he was coming, and warned of the freakish things he could do on a football field.
