Any NFL player from the 60s thru early 90s would shrug his shoulders over this. They're probably grinning too, remembering when they did it to someone.

If we weren't playing Detroit next week, this thread doesn't make it to two pages.

I disagree. I think many people, Cowboys fans or otherwise, have been pretty fed up with Suh and his dirty play. Yeah, it is more immediate because we play them next week but I seem to remember a long thread about Suh when he got suspended for what he did during the Packers game on Thanksgiving a few years back. He is a dirty player and it seems that entire team encourages it or at least condones it. Suspend his *** and make a statement.

Suh was sneaky and smart enough not to look down both times he stepped on Rodgers but backing up and doing it the second time appeared a pretty obvious repeat attempt to make it a point to injure him further. The incident will be examined by the commish but it's anyone's guess if it'll be dealt with severely. They've been pretty conservative about jumping to conclusions in the past, unless it's blatantly and undeniably obvious. What we call obvious and what the commish and his cronies deem obvious are oftentimes two different animals. Let's just hope the cumulative effect of this and his past incidents push them in favor of lowering the boom on Suh.

pffft, if he didn't have history, this would be a non-event....I think it DID speak volumes that Rodgers slapped at him to move...when he didn't react, that is what made me think it possibly was deliberate....

...he should not get a fine, nor would he deserve one in my opinion

When a human is backing up and steps on anything they naturally look down to see what was that..he knew he stepped on someone's leg (and knew it was Rodgers since he saw him going down) but he wanted to hurt him more so he continued with his second step... Everyone who saw it the first time was shocked how dirty it was..that first impression and reaction gives true picture of how hideous it was...if TV keep replaying the incident smart-*** will start saying "Well, he seems to not know" or "He seemed to be just walking and not trying to do it" blah blah blah....
With his history and what his teammate did a week before I'd suspend him 6 games, and charge the lions $1,000,000 to have control on the idiots they call pro football players....

If I break someone's leg or arm in the street I'd go to jail, these dirty ********* are running around committing crimes in my mind and if Goodell is cleaning up the game he needs to make a stand here...

The reaction here would be way much aggressive had he done this to Romo or Murray I am sure

It was a dirty act but i expect it from this thug.

He will not get suspended and will play against us, as if the league do this they are admitting he was guilty of a thuggish act and saving the face of the game is more important to Goodell so it will just be brushed aside as accidental, but really who cares as he will do nothing against our O'line.

Let him play and we will give him a lesson in the art of O'line blocking and he is over rated anyway.

On the contrary, Goodell will be saving the face of the game if he suspends Sue.
I expect it to happen.

The 2nd time he steps on Rodgers' ankle, he lifts up his other foot and knowingly puts all of his weight on the foot thats pinning Rodgers' down. I think it was intentional.

Also, he nonchalantly walks away as if nothing happened. Yeah I don't think so.

If he knowingly did it then of course it was intentional but you can't tell that from the video and it isn't possible to know it. But everyone has an opinion on it and you could be right just as I could be right.

Anyone that doesn't believe Suh intentionally stepped on Roger's calf is either a Suh fan or stupid. That's all I'll say about it.

Or just have a different perspective. Oh wait that can't be. Laughable

Given the circumstance, I'd be really surprised if he's not suspended. The story writes itself. Rodgers coming into this game against the lions, already injured, fighting for the #2 seed.

Yeah I think you can excuse the first time he stepped on him as just an accident, but then when he did it again and just stood there it makes it obvious what he's trying to do.

Yep. Agreed.

I think the first step was an accident (When they first showed it I only saw the first step cause I wasn't paying attention and I thought, geez what's the freaking deal) but the second step it makes it very clear he knew he was stepping on him and wanting to get another step in there.

Dirty tactic.

The league disagrees.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000451443/article/nfl-suspends-ndamukong-suh-for-one-game

"You did not respond in the manner of someone who had lost his balance and accidentally contacted another player who was lying on the ground," NFL vice president of football operations Merton Hanks said in a letter to Suh. "This illegal contact, specifically the second step and push off with your left foot, clearly could have been avoided.

"You unnecessarily stepped on your opponent's unprotected leg as he lay on the ground unable to protect himself."

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports that Suh will appeal the suspension, per a league source. The appeal will be heard and decided by either Derrick Brooks or Ted Cottrell. The video evidence of Suh's actions will be difficult for him to overcome.
