http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/...th-dakota-state-qb-belongs-in-first-round-mix

16. Philadelphia Eagles: Leonard Floyd, DE/OLB, Georgia

22. Indianapolis Colts: Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio State

23. New York Jets: Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State

this are the only three I would look at in the first roumd

if we take Myles Jack, LB, UCLA

The Cowboys' defense needs help at each level, including at linebacker, especially with the futures of Rolando McClain (free agent) and Sean Lee (injuries) in doubt. Although currently sidelined with a knee injury, Jack has top-10 talent if his rehab is on track

I would be in shock at number 6 he's not number six pick IMO

I would rather have

Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson, 6-3, 275, 4.64, Redshirt Junior: Lawson, who entered the 2015 season with more buzz and production (79 tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks) than career starts (one), steadily rose up draft boards in 2015. With Vic Beasley and Grady Jarrett off to the NFL, Lawson finally got his turn and he's responded with a breakout campaign worthy of the Ted Hendricks Award as the nation's top defensive end, nearly matching those numbers (55 tackles, 22.5 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks) over the regular season. Quick off the ball, powerful and tenacious, he's a threat on every snap. Better yet, he may only be scratching the surface of his potential. Lawson announced Dec. 8 that he's heading to the NFL.

Nassib won Hendricks award and was the top DE in 2015 not Lawson.

I would take LB Jaylon Smith, Notre Dame

My apologies in advance but I don't understand the original post.

So you list Floyd, Elliott and Wentz as the only three you'd take in the first round, then say we might take Jack, then say you'd rather have Shaq Lawson.

I don't see the Jets going after Wentz in the first when they just drafted Petty last year.

I am talking about your entire post. The only three you'd take at 6 are Elliott, Floyd and Wentz?

A projected first round pick, Lawson is currently ranked as the No. 3 defensive end prospect for the 2016 NFL Draft by NFLDraftScout.com. He currently leads the Tigers in tackles for loss (22.5) and sacks (9.5) and is fourth on the team in total tackles (55).

Clemson is slated to play Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl on New Year's Eve for the opportunity to advance to the College Football National Championship.

Lawson does a terrific job leveraging blocks off the edge, using an iron shoulder and natural body flexibility to dictate his path and beat single blocks. With his heavy hands and instincts, Lawson can set the edge, contain and then separate in space to finish. He has been an ascending prospect all season and adds an instant boost to an average pass rush class.

Why is any team going to trade up when nobody is even worth the 6th pick??? Other teams aren't jumping in line just to help the Cowboys. Either theres other highly rated players or nobody is trading up. Which is it?

I would certainly entertain trade down offers if a trading partner called.
