Off the top of my head:

1. Jimmy
2. Belichick
3. Vermeil
4. Gruden
5. Holmgren
6. Cowher
7. Bill
8. Saban

I might make some changes with more thought, but I think this is a decent list.

Belichick, yeh.
Vermeil? Vermeil has done next to nothing since his SB in ST. Louis. Ok, he made KC pretty competitive, but they never did anything.
Holmgren? If he doesn'thave Desmond Howard, we are talking about a 2 time SB loser. If he wins this week, I'll give him the credit.

Saban already looks like a great coach.

Belichik
Saban
Gruden
Lewis
Crenell (he will turn Clevland around)

ok, whatever

Parcells is God, nobody is better than him (even though his record during his past ten coaching years is mediocre at best)

David

Typical response of someone who has lost an argument.

I think the Cowboys organization is very fortunate to have Bill Parcells as their head coach.
He's going to have to learn that today's asistants can't be treated like minions. But aside from that I think he's done an amazing job up until the present time.

Next year we can honestly say we have a legitmate chance at a Superbowl, what the hell else do you want?

Jerry Jones should go ahead and bring in Bill Bates. Give him a year to learn the front office politics while Bill prep's for retirement. Bill Bates will B a outstanding HeaD Coach

1) Joe Gibbs
2) Jeff Fisher
3) Jim Mora Jr
4) Frank Beamer
5) NIck Saban
6) Belichek
7) Parcells

why is everyone on Saban's jock? Parcells did better his 1st year, than Saban did his 1st year in Miami, so how about we wait a little bit?

guess knee-jerk goes both ways...positive and negative

Parcells had the better starting qb. Miami has no starting quality qb.

LMAO. The last game they lost, was to the Cleveland Browns - 22-0. Over their last six games, they played only 2 winning teams - the Chargers, who totally layed down and died, in addition to LT being injured, and the Pats, who played starters for the first quarter, and thought soooo much of the game that they trotted Flutie out there for a meaningless drop kick.

The Dolphins weren't playing that great. They allowed three TDs in the first quarter to the freaking Bills, and because the Bills couldn't figure out that you might just want to double Chambers, they got beat by a single point. They beat the Jets by 4, and that was a comeback as well.

Bottom line, the Dolphins had a soft schedule to finish the year, we did not. Their list of opponents is full of teams picking in the top 10 of the draft, while ours was full of playoff teams.

Your right, and the Dolphins actually had 'real' runningbacks.

I would like Frank Beamer as a Special Teams coach...I would not want him as the Head Coach of the Cowboys though.

they still won 6 straight games, which is somethign we've never done under Parcells...also, I was comparing Saban's first yr with Parcells...you say they ebat up on a soft schedule, well apparently you need some reminding-

2003 Cowboys games vs playoff teams- Philly (1-1) Carolina (1-0, though 1-1 if you count the blowout loss in the playoffs) and New England (shutout loss)...thats it...3 playoff teams were on our schedule from 2003, and we won 2 and lost 3...I guess I could add in we played a 10-6 Miami team, but unfortunately for that argument we were absolutely blown out at home...the rest of our schedule featured games against 5-11 Washington (2), 4-12 Giants (2) 5-11 Atlanta, 7-9 Tampa Bay, 5-11 Detroit, 6-10 Buffalo and Jets, 8-8 Saints 4-12 Arizona...that is quite possible one of the EASIEST schedules any team has ever had

2005 Dolphins...games played vs playoff teams, Denver (w), Carolina (w) New England (1-1) and Tampa (loss)...same amount of games, and actually a better record

so what exactly were you saying about soft schedules and us playing a schedule full of playoff teams again?

David

While many of the teams we played in 2003 had poor records, some, like Tampa and Buffalo had championship type defenses and New Orleans finished 10th in pass defense.

Do I really have to remind you that our soft schedule in 03 came at the start of the year, then, when the tougher games cameup, we fell apart? Or how much luck was required to even win half those games? The Dolphins beat up on weak competition, which was the same thing we did at the start of 03.

Actually, we finished 4-4 in the second half of the 2003 with no running game whatsoever, I think Hambrick had 0 tds rushing and 1 100 hundred yard rushing game, so going .500 under the circumstances was pretty good.

It's not like he was so much better the first half.

His ypg the first 8 games - 68.

If you throw out the Miami game, in which he only got three carries anyway, his ypg for the last 8 was 60.

I dunno. Gus Ferotte is still in the league. Our better QB finnished the year with more INT's than TD's. A guy who isn't starting in this league anymore, regardless of what reason, in my book, isn't a starting quality QB either.

Furthermore, Miami had 2 RB's with alot of talent, while we had a guy who will be struggling to make an NFL roster this year, if he even plays. A guy who *****ed and moaned, wanted the starting job, and ended up backing up the guy he thought he couldnt replace, when that guy was 34.

Throw in Chris Chambers, McMichael, and a defense which featured 2 DE"s capable of getting to the QB and I'd say Saban had alot more talent to work with than Parcells did his 1st year.

Miami's record the year before was a bit misleading, because they had NO semblance of a running game what-so-ever. Wannsted isn't cut out to be a head coach, Miami had to make the change, but you better believe Saban doesn't do much better if he had the same team that Wannstedt had in his last year.

This isn't to say Saban isn't a good coach, and wont find sucess in this league, it's just to state that you are just wrong with your statement
