Name Your "Blues"

Definite:
Romo
Tyron
Martin
Frederick
Dez
Hardy

Borderline:
Tyrone Crawford - repeat last year and he is there
Sean Lee - needs to stay healthy
Rolando McClain - see above
Jason Witten (due to declining skills/speed)
Orlando Scandrick - just needs a couple more big plays per year

Potential:
Randy Gregory
La'el Collins

Injuries can be a killer - which is why the '07 season is still probably the biggest disappointment in Cowboys history (thanks Crayton!) outside of the SB losses. Fantastic health throughout the season squandered. However, I think that the 2015 Dallas Cowboys are the least vulnerable to injury Cowboys team that I have seen since basically the last Super Bowl teams. Obviously there are areas of concern (CB, RB), but as many others have said, you can't be amazing at every position.

He'd still be running if he caught that ball. :(

for the sake of argument, cole Beasley. Best damn slot WR in football.

Fun exercise. Not sure it's all that helpful a measurement of the best team, though. You need the QB and the pressure players, for sure.

I count Scandrick, his attitude along with solid, heady, and steady play. I think he's the guy other teams hate on Dallas.

1. Smith.
2. Frederick.
3. Martin.
4. Crawford.
5. Romo.
6. Dez.
7. Scandrick.
8. Bailey.

Blue Chipers (The A List):
Dez
Smith
Martin
T Fred
Witten
Ro Mc
Lee
Hardy
Bailey
Ladoceur

B List:
Romo
Scandrick
T Will
Mincey
Carr
Church
T. Crawford

C List:
Hitchens
Free
Leary
Beasley
Wilcox
Randal

A bunch of up and comers with a ton of upside such as D Law, Escobar, Patmon, Williams, and my sleeper will be T. McClain, he's due for a healthy season..

Then you have rookies and free agents that can range from B to C and possibly an A if one or two really ball out.

Hopefuls: Coleman and Bishop.

Romo
Dez
Tyron
zach
Fred
Hardy
Lee
Scandrick
Witten

Potentially
Collins
Gregory
Jones
McClain
Lawrence
Crawford
Randle

And so would Demarco Murray if he had secured the ball better in Green Bay. Way more pivotal gaffe that for whatever reason does not get the same amount of lamentation from the women who continue to whine about Crayton.

In that situation would the fumble have occurred if Adri.... *knocked out by poison dart*

I see everyone sleeping on dlaw

He's going to have his coming out party this year

That is how I rank them now. I'd put the blue chip line right after Hardy currently. + denotes players that I see having potential to move up the list. I have to be honest, I am not a big fan of the 9 blue chip approach. It smacks of after the fact revisionism. Those 9 were it!

I see a roster that is deep and talented with tons of upside. Only guys I worry about falling off a cliff are Romo and Witten now that Murray is off the squad. We're young and we have very good offseason participation where even the guys trying to hold out for business reasons cannot stay away. That with bodies at positions will allow us to weather.

We've always had one of the best rosters when it came to players 1 through 10.

The reason things are looking up for 2015 and beyond is because players 10-53 are looking pretty damn good as well.

5) Dallas Cowboys

Blue chips (7): K Dan Bailey, WR Dez Bryant, C Travis Frederick, DE Greg Hardy, OGZack Martin, OT Tyron Smith, TE Jason Witten.

On the rise: CB Orlando Scandrick.

Credit Jerry and Stephen Jones for retooling the roster and putting the Cowboys in a position to seriously contend for the title. They wisely committed resources to building a powerful offensive line that anchors a run-first attack and allows the Cowboys to compete against all comers. Smith, Martin and Frederick are all among the best players at their respective positions. Bryant might be the top receiver in the NFL, based on his extraordinary skills and dominant production as the Cowboys' WR1. Bailey is one of the best kickers in the game today. Hardy and Rolando McClain are wild cards with character concerns, but it is hard to ignore their impact when they are on the field. AndSean Lee flashes blue-chip talents, but he just can't seem to stay on the field.

1. Dez
2. Romo
3. Tyron Smith
4. Zach Martin
5. Frederick
6. Witten
7. Dan Bailey
8. Greg Hardy
9. Scandrick
10. Sean Lee/McClain**** If either is healthy

Offense including Bailey is ELITE.

Not sure what he saw but they had:
Brady, Gonkowski, Vollmer, Hightower, Collins, Revis, McCourty

We've got:
Romo, Bryant, Witten, Smith, Martin, Frederick, Crawford, R.McClain, Bailey, Hardy and Lee when they are on the field

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts?
