He is too cocky for our team. Wasn't very good for the 49ers and Newman and Jenkins will hold their own with some good safety play.

That was their plan all along. They weren't going to give that guy the 70M or whatever it was.

Thats kinda what i was getting at. Hes solid for his position (at the vet min i mean) and its not like anyone looks amazing in the 9ers D

I'd be interested. Big hitter in secondary, waning coverage skills despite tremendous speed, but a good pass rush would make him very effective in Ryan's system

I was disappointed when we didn't make a run at Clements when he was last a free agent. I couldn't believe the huge deal that he got from SF and was glad we didn't hop in at that price. Now, I feel even better about not getting the in the Clements sweepstakes.

I don't think we need the guy and he'll command more that we are willing to party with, I'm sure, even at this point. But, at a reasonable contract I wouldn't mind the Boys poking around to see his market value.

Me too, don't get me wrong. But for the right price, you can't have too many decent corners.

We would be keeping Tnew, especially with bringing in a player that has been released.

I think he'd be a top flight FS, but he wasn't willing when SF suggested it.
