I'm about ready to throw Parakeet's cage in the river.

Yes, he knocked Fav-ruh out of the game last night... We've already seen that replay a thousand times already. But that play where Jennings caught that little hitch or out or whatever and left him in the dust drove me nuts.

Just throwing out ideas here, but at this late stage when adding superior players from outside the organization is impossible -- especially at a premium position like corner -- would you consider giving Alan Ball a chance instead? That idea was floated out there by Mickey several weeks ago. Supposedly he was progressing in practice, and was prettty good on special teams in preseason IMO.

Or, maybe better, how about using Courtney Brown instead? I know he's a safety, but he's got almost-corner athleticism and has already shown very well at gunner on ST.

Not to nitpick a win, but I'm thinking that one of these kids has more upside and might have enough experience now in practice to at least break down and make a tackle in space.

Discuss?

Jennings is fast, since i live in wisconsin i see this all the ti me. They make there yards off the juke and run, not deep passes (favre blows at throwing deep, he can throw far but not accurate) either way nate jones isnt exactly great and we can always upgrade. i say give ball and brown a chance.

I think it is too late in the season for something like that. The person would have to learn the plays and could not get going right away. I say we play with what we have and upgrade in the offseason.

I agree CL, Parakeet needs to begin his movie making career now and get out of football. Bring Ball up, or give Oglesvy a shot. I don't think either would do any worse than Jones.

Apparently ChocolateLab, Courtney Brown isn't ready to be played yet.

Some coaches try to protect the young CBs while to develop them to prevent them losing their confidence.

Yeah.....a move this late in the season is a major risk to both the team and the player.

I think Alan Ball is going to end up on the roster as soon as Henry is completely healthy. We've been holding on to Oglesby b/c he can play 3rd CB in a pinch.

Interesting, abersonc...

And to some of the others, I guess I'd say that these aren't guys off the street; they're guys who have been on the team and in the system since the summer.

And I bet that a few months ago, people would have said that throwing Miles Austin a couple of bombs against a 10-1 team was risky, too. ;)

Greg Jennings is one of the quickest NFL WR's in the NFL! Are you kidding me - it's like blaming Jones for letting Wes Welker lose. Some of these quick WR's do it to most all corners.

Nate is a tremendous blitzer - thats money.
