Nate Soldier to visit the Cowboys Next Week

If this guy gets through cincy @ 4 Jerry is going to make a move for him..

Guys, I think he's going to be a heck of a player. If he gets some decent coaching, and lets all be honest here, he didn't get that at Colorado, he can be a dominating player.

My first choice would be Tyron
if we didn't take him, i'd prefer Cam Jordan or even Prince over Solder.
hell, give me Costonzo over Solder. or hell, i'll go BPA and grab Julio Jones or AJ green if they're there. Solder would be a reach.

I don't think we'll have to worry about trading up for him.

I'd rather see Solder in a tradedown in the high teens than at #9.

Why are so many against this guy? I'm not proclaiming him to be Anthony Munoz, but Von Miller said:

Scott Wright: Who is the best opposing player you’ve faced in your college career?

Von Miller: Nate Solder. He’s a beast. When you’re that big and you’re that quick, it’s real scary for guys like me. He can match you on every step. And I went against other guys: Jason Smith, Trent Williams, and Russell Okung. All those guys are great, but Nate Solder’s excellent.

Don't disrupt the hate with stuff like this. He hasn't got the abs to be a left tackle.

Smith
Carimi
Solder
Sherrod
Franklin
Castanzo
Cannon

I suspect alot of people havent seen him play enough (like me) but the couple times I did see him, I wasnt impressed. I also worry he'll never be a good run blocker because he will struggle with leverage.

I'd stay away from him.

I saw no natural bend. Trent Cole, Freeny, Dumerville, Orakpo, Osi, etc. would beat the **** out of him IMO.

I legit like him as a TE prospect though

I always value player's opinions more than the "experts" so something like this will make me go back and take a second look. I know a lot of people here think Smith has the most upside out of all the tackles, but IMO it's far and away Solder

I see Solder as a guy that will be out of the league in 5 years or so because of back problems. He plays too stiff and has no knee bend. Much like when we had LeFleur, even though he was TE, he had those same issues and it killed his body and career.
