Who would you want to be our starter, Guyton or Nate Thomas to open up against Philly?

Nate Thomas. Tyler Guyton was given a prognosis of returning in four-to-six weeks, but it would be more wise to tack on a few additional weeks. The extra time would benefit Guyton more over the course of the entire season.
Sorry I meant LT can you fix

You just had an urge to make a thread. About nothing. :muttley:

Heck Guyton may be back for game 1. And you are asking which one before Thomas even plays a snap.

Voch recently explained this. Guyton was beating everybody. There were times when Ezeiruaku beat him but he won most of the time. He said Nate Thomas battles guys. Battles, he isn't beating guys like Guyton was.

You want the guy who has been practicing all of camp and preseason to start. Guyton should rotate in on week 2 after getting an extra 9 days to get ready to play.

Hadn't heard that. Promising if true. Sounds like Guyton put in the work to take the next step. Good for him.

Long as I've not broken any rules of this beautiful establishment I'm fine like wine

If you say Nate Thomas & you aren’t his friend or relative then you’re an absolute football idiot.

Guyton ... more NFL game experience and physically talented than Nate Thoms

We haven't even seen nat Thomas in a live NFL game yet .. not even preseason, and we want to project him as a starting candidate vs Philly ..?

Maybe a better quetion is how did NAte Thomas surpass Asim Richard on the depth chart ..?

I can say, though, that in the (admittedly limited) video shown of both, I've seen Guyton get beat clean several times, like guessing and barely laying a hand on the rusher before he got in the backfield. I haven't seen that with Thomas at all.

Thomas reminds me a little of Jason Peters -- a huge body that if he's fundamentally sound can at least get in the way, and if he does that it's hard to get around him. And you definitely aren't getting through him. Not saying he's as athletic or will be as good as Peters, of course. But kind of the same type of blocker.
