I'm wondering if we have a player in Nate Thomas. With Guyton out, how do you think we did at left tackle?

Admittedly, I'm not any good at evaluating individual line players. Obviously, he held up well enough for us to win the game. But, how did he do? I wasn't hearing his name, which is good.

Yeah, I have nothing to go on other than we weren't hearing his name & we were running & pass protecting well. So, my guess is that he did an outstanding job.

the OLine is good on run blocking but in pass protection... it's so-so

Dak had a lot of pressure on him today. He's had a lot of pressure on him all year.

Dak has bailed out the OLine *A LOT* this season with his quick reads & release

If the OLine could give him just a little more time, he'd be picking apart defenses with ease.

lol stop. he's had plenty of time to throw the ball all year. no QB has perfect protection. does he get pressured at times? of course he does! does every QB in the league get pressured a fair, of course they do!

All true, but Dak's protection was far from great tonight.

There wasn't any silly flags because of him this game like Guyton last week. For this alone he deserves to stay the starter even when Guyton comes back. Guyton needs to sit and start working on being next years RT IMO.

Oline played pretty well and I didn’t see him getting blown up. I’ll pay closer attention tomorrow on rewatch.

The protections issues we did have came from our blitz reads and pickups and even then, Dak stayed pretty clean after the first quarter.

Now that I'd greatly appreciate!!! I'm fascinated by this kid, and hope he can play OLT.

Let Thomas have first crack at RT next year. I think he will be OK. Let Guyton stay at LT and continue to improve.

he was serviceable, he got beat quick a couple of times but Dak escaped and made some great throws.
This.

Dak was almost sacked by Thomas's man in the two point conversion and a couple of other occasions. He was good, but Dak agility saved the day.

I thought he was better than in the Jets game he started -- of course, McDonald is pretty good -- and had a very good day overall. The only really bad play I saw was on the two point conversion where Dak did have to avoid his man and made a great throw.

Sure, a few times the DE tries going outside, but Nate just pushes him by and Dak steps up, which is no problem. I don't think he got beat at all inside like he did against the Jets a time or two. Most of the overall pressures today were more up the middle.

People look at his size and think he can't play LT, but he moves better than you think.

Oh, and... No penalties.

Had a good game overall. Got beat pretty badly on the two-point conversion, but Dak spun out of it before hitting Pickens.

A lot of the pressure came on blitzes, where there was a free runner at Dak. We beat most of those, though. The line did a pretty good job with its assignments. Chris Jones got loose a few times, but that's to be expected.

I thought he did okay. What I notice about him is you cannot bull rush him. I see DEs try it and just give up. He is strong. If he needs work it would be on the quick moves inside or outside but he was pretty good yesterday. If he has to play Thursday night, he will be tested by the Lions DEs.

I know people are suggesting he take over for Steele at RT. But he had that chances a couple of games back when Steele was benched. Thomas did not look very good at RT. In fact, he looked awful. Perhaps his position is LT, and Guyton can move to the right side.

One thing I noticed yesterday is Chris Jones abused Booker and Steele move of the game. That dude is a monster and can take over a game. I did not see him going against Thomas but I want to look again and see if they had any match-ups.

Three pressures on 39 pass rush snaps. Terrence Steele had zero, believe it or not!
I heard that in the postgame and don't see it... I mean on Steele. Didn't look like he had a very good game at all. No idea who is grading these things.

And I thought I saw a tweet where Broaddus had Nate with a better game than that, too.
