Nathan Vasher

What do you think about the possibility of Nathan Vasher as a CB pickup after week 1? Does he have anything left? A few years ago he was pretty damn good and a former all-pro. Just thinking who if anyone we would look at if Jerry and Wade decide they want another CB. He is still only 28 (a year older than Cletis Gordon). I think unless he has lost a drastic amount of talent due to injuries he would not be a bad 4th CB.

Only if Dallas has injury problems. I don't think Vasher is a good man coverage corner. He fits better in a Cover 2 scheme.

I think he's probably done. If you're a CB these days and can't make someone's 53 the first go around in a passing league, you're probably not worth a look on a contender like Dallas.

i didn't see him on the field for the Chargers but why not bring him in instead of a rookie or 2nd year player. He has Experience and maybe given the shot or a workout with us can really help him.....remember he's from TEXAS!....why not give him a workout if he does good sign him if he doesn't Don't!

He did play against Dallas in the preseason game, so they got some look at him. I would bet the Dallas coaches asked the San Diego coaches their opinion of Vasher since there are many ties between the two organizations.

I just looked a little further and he ran a 4.45 40 coming out of school. There were also reports that he has lost a step due to injuries. Maybe now he is closer to 4.5 or 4.6. Maybe bring him in and see if he can beat Buehler in a race and if he does he gets a tryout
