If you ask me, the star should have consumed all of New Mexico and a good chunk of Arizona.

And Northwest Louisiana and South Texas. Sorry, Houston isn't that popular. Especially in San Antonio.

I have a hard time believing the Giants/Jets fanbase is that much smaller than the Bills.

According to all the bumper stickers I see, the star should be in at least half of Virginia too.

True. The best thing about having lots of Cowboy fans in the VA/DC Area is that it annoys so many Skins fans.

The broncos have the biggest fan base then? lol

That is just a geographical guess I suppose, Houston is mainly Houston and some surrounding areas, Dallas owns most of Texas easily, even a lot of Houston. Anf yeah it should have expanded into Louisiana, NM, AZ.

I like how Oakland has two completely separate area, haha, plus they are surrounded by San Fran fans.

This. And it's not even up for debate.

This is a pretty cool map, but really not that useful.

For example, where I live (in Tampa Bay country) most people have moved from somewhere else and they could care less about the Bucs. It seems there are fans from every team in the league here. And yes, there are some Buc fans -- but they are having trouble filling the stands now. But then again, who in their right mind would sit out in 90 degree weather to watch a football game?? I would rather be cold -- with snow.

And there have always been Cowboy fans all over the country because of the history of the team -- and old habits die hard. I think you only switch alliances when you actually start going to games. That is what happened to me. And after going for 25 -- and still having my season tickets 10 years later (to make money), I am still a die hard.

And another factor, some areas on this map really are college football fans. The NFL comes second.

So bottom line, interesting map, but you have to take it with a grain of salt.

Jacksonville should be smaller than their stadium since they can't fill it up.

You would be correct.

Growing up in Syracuse, NY...always a large Giants fanbase there.

What was ironic about the Bills vs. Cowboys Super Bowls was that growing up in Central NY, you couldn't find a Bills fan if you paid them money. That was until the Bills started winning. Then all of these 'Bills fans' started showing up.

My buddies and I used to joke that Bills fans were more or less 'Old PO'd Giants fans who couldn't take it anymore.'

Growing up there, I'd say it went

1. Giants fans
2. Bills Fans
3. Cowboys fans
4. Dolphins fans

They also should have given us Mexico.

There is a lot of truth in that. My wife was born and raised in Mexico. She knows nothing about the NFL but knew who the Dallas Cowboys were as long as she can remember. She said she never heard of any other teams growing up.

The whole map should be majority Cowboys/Steelers. Then everything else.

I've never been to a bar and not seen Steelers/Cowboys fans there.

I imagined this map was on a Cowboys canvas and then the other teams were filled in for geography purposes.

The only thing I'll add to this is that the Houston Texans should have got a little dot like the Oakland/LA Raiders did. No way that franchise would take up the entire bottom half of Texas.

I think it's a cool map but it is really only geographically accurate in terms of distance to nearest NFL team, but not necessarily actual fan loyalty. For example, Montana is hardly Broncos country.

I love the itty bitty little Raven logo squeezed in there though. :D
