I cant decide between the Heat or Pacers in the East, but I feel it will be one of those two teams losing to San Antonio in the Finals.

OKC over Heat.
Like the Heat in year 1 Brooklyn and Houston need a year to gel as a team and settle into roles.

OKC has enough to get by without Westbrook early and when he does come back they will be really good again.

Heat will finally succumb to injuries and depth issues after grueling East playoff run to the point OKC beats them in 6 like the Mavs did.

Heat for what shouldve been a 4peat but a 3peat.

Heat were not going to beat the Mavs in 2011. If that had been a 10 game series Dallas wins 7.
The games really weren't close at the end.
Heat had zero depth and no answers for Carlisle's various lineups.

Didnt the heat have like a 20 point lead in 2 of the games they lost? Youre right on the depth though but i think it was more of miami taking their foot off the gas.

Actually, they couldn't stop Dirk.. Lebron was guarding him as well. They simply didn't have the fire-power....

It wasn't about gas but about match ups.
As a Mavs fan I've watched that series probably 10 times now and still have it saved on my hard drive.

Miami won game 1 fairly handily. Dallas didn't ever really challenge that game.
The next 3 games were all nail-biters. Down to the wire and about offensive execution in the 4th quarter.
Lots of really good defense by both teams.
Dirk was out-executing LeBron/Wade in Q4 and his efficiency lead to the tied series at 2-2.
Miami's swagger was definitely shaken. It was their first real test of each other.
Bosh was basically missing in action and Wade was shooting poorly.
LeBron was frustrated because Dallas scored wherever he wasn't.

But by game 5 it was just match ups. Miami had no answer for Barea, they had no answer when Dirk was in a 2 man game and had a 3 point shooter on the opposite side of the floor. It rained wide open 3s from fairly spare NBA players. Or if they singled Dirk he just scored efficiently and got Miami into foul trouble.

Miami lost games 5 and 6 by a combined 19 points but the games really weren't even that close.
Those games were both locked up by 5 mins left.
Dallas won that series going away.

Carlisle was vastly superior to LeBron's little brother on the Miami sideline.
Spoelstra learned a lot from that series and it has helped him since but he was flat owned that series.

I don't have the slightest idea. Won't be the Celtics. What's the odds on Chicago? Who's the surprise team this year?

Houston. We got a Center now who got 26 boards last night :)

I don't follow the NBA much but I did see where Howard got 26 last nite. That's great. Got a ways to go before reaching Wilt or Bill league though. Will there be a player to get into the 40s or 50s again?

Nope, not in today's game. The last true re-bounder was Rodman.

I'll take spurs vs pacers

I'll tell you one thing, it sure as hell won't be the clippers or rockets like everyone seems to believe
