I personally dont think it was a money issue for Key.

I have met him several times and he... IMO, doesnt seem like "that" guy.

I think it was an ego issue. I think he (Key) said if you bring in that guy than... And the chips fell.

Well, they could never have co-existed here, or anywhere.

Owens coming in meant Key had to leave. Key's just too upfront to put up with that BS.

Key addressed this.
Said he loves Bill but this is a business and he has to make business decisions.

BP respects him thus there was no big media nonsense, he simply let him go test the FA waters.

Key made a few statements about being underpaid last season.

I don't doubt he would have had issues with TO but he also had some issues with Smith. H's simply a bit delusional about his talent.

He would have been a great fit for the Skins instead of Lloyd honestly.

Funny!

Even tho Key's gone, he's still a Parcells Guy..and if he thinks Owens is giving Bill any grief, I am sure we will hear about it.

Key is very PC about his team (Take notes TO), but as far as the rest of the league, he takes a typical commentators' stance. When it comes to TO he tries to hold back, but he cant. He doesnt bash the Cowboys but he sometimes still seems to have the TO/Key ordeal bitter tongue at times.

He also said that he will not play for another franchise. That if the Panthers dont want him or he cant perform than he will retire.

I sympathize. Correction, empathize;)

Well, I'll take his word on retirement before I take Tiki's..because he's not announcing it before a nationally televised Monday night game so he can be the center of attention (along with Owens) on MNF.

That'll be an interesting sidelight on Monday nite - which one of the self-promoters managed to get his name dropped the most.

Wow. I didnt realize that other people saw the possible connection. Its almost as if Tiki is trying to motivate his team for the last hurrah ala Bettis.

Better for his team to be answering questions about their star RB than about another teams WR. Arrington in some video I saw this week on NFLN kept saying (when TO questions arised) 'Who ? , Who is that ? , I keep hearing the name but I have heard of Terry Glenn who is the leading WR on the Cowboys...'

If we had kept Key I don't think TO would handle being the #3 wr :D

I had a sigh of relief when the Cowboys decided not to keep Key. I know he can catch the tough ball, I know he will produce weekly, I know he wont likely have a nagging injury.

Not that it helped the Commanders piss poor D this year.
