Sadly, the show will probably end up making no sense whatsoever. Magic (wand) drives that make fundamental principles of the natural world click on and off??

It might be interesting as long as the nature of the Mcguffin is unknown, but after the reveal -- the feet will be of clay. Poor clay too.

Of course, if it fails like Lost instead of Flash Forward, they'll be laughing all the way to the bank.

but......

you are supposed to suspend all logic and such for entertainment!

I liked the show.

I'm interested to see at the end of the season if they do get the power back on...what the subject/plot would be for future seasons.

Jericho. We are in the "Monroe republic" and they mentioned the generals goal is to invade the other republics, so I would imagine it would be whatever they renamed this republic to vs the other ones. I loved Jericho :D

yea, but one question that derived from jericho is "who the hell is making all these candles"? every time you went into someones house at night there were candles all over the place. they never seemed to run out.

jericho got pretty stupid in the end.

Given the over the top storyline of Jericho it had very few logic loopholes.

well i seem to be in the minority in regard to the enthusiasm for the show. i just see "buck rogers" all over again in the low quality of the set, acting, writing...

It seems the past few years that NBC loves to hype shows to the max, then cancel them. Persons Unknown and The Event come to mind. Anyone think that will happen to this one?

Hard to imagine a show worth watching coming on that channel. Its like cbs and most of fox besides the cartoons like family guy american dad. All i see are really lame shows that aren't the least bit funny at all.

I will watch it but expect it to be cancelled before they show all the episodes.

NBC's (and other network's to a lesser extent) problem is that they don't stay consistent.

You have a favorite show, then suddenly it's moved to a different day or time or it's gone for two weeks, then back for one, then gone for another two weeks. It used to be that each show was on the same time every week, and all shows went on hiatus at the same time. The lack of consistency loses ratings, because people get tired of trying to find their show, then trying to figure out if it's a new one or repeat, especially if the show is so new that it doesn't have a solid fanbase yet.

This whole, "Catch the series premiere of Go On this Wednesday @7! Then catch it at its regular time on Thursday @ 8!" doesn't work in a show's favor. The Office has been so successful because they stuck with it and it's been on at the same time on Thursday since it started. The same with with their other successes like Seinfeld, Fraser, ER, and Friends. They all stuck with it at the same time, except for Fraser's last year.

Shows used to take up to three seasons to find their groove and fanbase, and they used to get that long. Now they only have three episodes. In today's television standards, Seinfeld would have been canceled in the middle of its first season.

okay show but everyone was to clean for not having electric for 15 years. The girl reminds me of a young skinny Brooklyn Decker.

I normally love shows like this but this one was rather "blah" to me. I agree, the acting was average at best while the set was lower quality than you would expect from a show hyped this much. The show just did not pull me in or add any real suspense.

It may be that compared to other post-apocalyptic shows like Falling Skies and The Walking Dead, the pace of this show seemed rushed and lacked any real suspense. I am not giving up on it but I am not overly optimistic about its chances given how much this episode was hyped.

As much as I liked Giancarlo Esposito as Gus in breaking bad...I did not like him in this show.

It fit in perfectly in breaking bad but the moment I saw him riding a horse and wearing a trench coat...for whatever reason it just did not work for me.

The first episode was ok at best and unless things change quickly I doubt it lasts that long although the names behind it might buy it enough time for it to get better or enough time to last longer than other shows would have.

As many flaws as there were in this one and the last resort...I think I would rather watch more of the last resort.
