Longhorns will have a big year, behind a great defense, they will be in contention for the big 12 title, ultimately falling just short of it. As for the rest of cfb, OU or WVU will win the big 12, Georgia the SEC, Oregon the PAC 10, and the national champion will be a team currently outside the top 5

Ah screw it, I'll say west Virginia vs Georgia for the national championship! With WVU winning it!

sec: lsu
big 12: ou
pac12: usc
big10: nebraska

that is also your top 4.
ou to win national title.

big12/sec battle as top conference all year and into bowl season.

texas tech will shock people. that team will have the big 12 newcomers of the year on both offense and defense with javon bell and will smith: 2 guys that will eventually play on sundays. they get 3rd in big12.

bama has a down year by their standards. loses 3 games.

Alabama will win it all.

The Heisman winner will be Denard Robinson.

I think Bama will be tough, but they lost a ton of talent. 4 players in the first round, 9 total. That is a lot of players to replace, especially when one of those is Trent Richardson. I see them as a 9-10 win team.

Georgia is the team to watch out for in the SEC, they play an extremely easy schedule(S.Car,Missouri,Fla) are the only tough games, and Florida shouldn't be difficult. They will trot out a top 5 defense and a really good QB. The only question is the RB spot, but they have a lot of highly touted RBs.

I think LSU is going to really disappoint. Mathieu,Claiborne,Ron Brooks, and the safety(Taylor maybe? Cant remember his name) are all gone. They have a new QB, lost their best WR to the draft. They will be a 8-9 win team in my opinion.

LSU arguably improves at QB with Mettenberger and trots out the best pass rush duo in college football (Mingo and Montgomery). They did lose a lot but they bring a lot back and should be better offensively. Bama lost far more with big time playmakers gone on both sides of the ball. Mettenberger is a future NFL QB. He isn't a bus driver or dual threat guy but a straight drop back, rocket-armed kid. He is a prototypical 1st round draft pick. Now we see if he can actually play, lol. He did throw 5 TD passes in their scrimmage a couple days ago.

I am a UGA fan so I am little sour on Mettenberger getting kicked off our squad for 5 misdemeanors including sexual battery. I don't see him as a first round QB like you do though. His troubles with the law are going to sour teams on him. Last year he got involved in a fight outside of his apartment and wound up having a gun pulled and pointed at him. I believe he said he was trying to break up a fight, but it is just another instance of him not really being in the best situation. And somehow he is being called the "Mett-siah" but some LSU fans. Which is sickening to me.

He should be better than the other two QBs (peterson/Lee) but they lost a ton of talent in the secondary, their best WR, and I'm just not seeing it. Nobody in college football lost as much talent in their secondary as LSU did the last 2 seasons.

Who is going to be the big surprise school this year?

Texas Tech and Tennessee

Who will matchup in the BCS Championship?

Southern Cal and Michigan (Thanks to relatively weak conference schedules, especially Michigan's)

What teams wins it all?

USC if they stay healthy, they lack depth due to scholorship limitations.

Who is going to be the big disappointment?

Oregon (they will suffer a dropoff this year and I don't believe they are a top 5 team) and TCU (The culture shock of big boy football takes it's toll).

What Conference will be the best this year?

SEC, 5 teams in the preseason top 10

Who wins the Heisman Trophy?

Matt Barkley or Denard Robinson

LOUISIANA TECH will be the surprise school. Mark it down. We got one AP top 25 vote to start and 10 coaches poll votes. Averaging about 37 in preseason polls. We open the year on Thursday night in Shreveport against Texas A&M, then go on to play Houston, Illinois, and Virginia. If we win those four games and breeze through our conference schedule we will play for the Orange Bowl.

Who is going to be the big surprise school this year?

Virginia Tech or Urban Meyer's Ohio St

Who will matchup in the BCS Championship?

Southern Cal and Alabama/LSU. Although if either of the 3 slip up, Oklahoma, Michigan and Virginia Tech could slip in thanks to weak shelling and BCS favoritism.

What teams wins it all?

Alabama or LSU over USC. I just don't bet against the SEC.

Who is going to be the big disappointment?

Penn St by default. But I think Oklahoma and Florida St will once again underwhelm expectations.

What Conference will be the best this year?

SEC, still have LSU, Bama, and eventually Florida.

Who wins the Heisman Trophy?

Matt Barkley (Andrew Luck expectation) or Montee Ball.

High praise but I dont see Tech doing very well at all. Tommy Turd better figure it out though. Tired of seeing my school play like trash.

You had me up until "Eventually Fla". There is absolutely no chance Florida beats out S.Carolina and Georgia for the SEC East

Surprise Team: Washington State-Leach inherited a few good weapons
National Championship matchup: My gut says WVU vs USC. My brain says Oregon vs Georgia.
Biggest disappointment: Same as every year Florida St & Notre Dame, when will the media stop overhyping these two "traditional powers".
Who wins the Heisman: Geno Smith-plays in the pass happy BIG 12 now & could very well put up a RGIII type year this yr.
