  • Once again, Bama and Florida State are having great recruiting classes.
  • Clemson and Tennessee are right behind them.
  • Top recruit Byron Cowart signed letters of intent to both Auburn and Florida, but hasn't faxed either yet. lol
  • Mizzou landed a big fish, DT Terry Becker. He was ESPN's 2nd highest rated recruit
  • UCLA is making moves
  • Georgia has lost a couple

USC is having a pretty good day as well. I think they are right behind Bama at this point.

I actually like C.C. better. Florida got themselves a pretty good Football player there.

Rosen is paying dividends for UCLA. He's legit and players want to play with him. They are going to have a really good class as well.

I did see that FSU pulled their Scholarship offer from Bell. That whole situation is really strange. Will be interesting to see how that plays out.

UCLA got a bunch of good recruits, and then their DC Jeff Ulbrich immediately announces he's leaving for the NFL. That's kind of jacked up.

I'd be upset if I were one of the defensive recruits - seems like they should be allowed to explore other options if they so choose.

I agree. That's BS. A&M almost lost Mack over a similar situation with their DC. Sumlin did a good job of getting Chavis but he did a poor job of how he handled it with his recruits IMO. I think that's why they didn't get as many defensive players as they would have liked. Fortunately for TAMU, they got Chavis and worked hard on Mack to fix the situations.

I think you're right. If Chavis had been on board a little earlier, I believe Malik Jefferson would be an Aggie. Or if Malik would have been willing to wait a few more days to make his commitment. Either way. And if Malik were an Aggie, I think one or two other defensive recruits would have joined the fold as well - maybe Kris Boyd or Holton Hill.

LB Roquan Smith supposedly is one of the UCLA recruits that signed his LOI, but I've heard reports that he didn't actually send it in. I guess he has options still, most likely to UGA.

I know a lot of the Aggie Faithful are hoping he comes to College Station, guess we'll see. Sumlin did put out some things that said there would be a surprise from Southern Cal. Who knows what happens there. They have another 5 Star DE that has to be wondering what the hell kinda crap that is too, I'm thinking.

Pretty excited on the recruits USC has gotten thus far, shaping up to be one of the best classes this year.

The thing that surprises me most is the lack of success TCU and Baylor have had this recruiting season. Both of those programs are coming off of really great years and they have put together a couple of strong seasons prior to. It's not showing in the recruiting. That's a shame for both of those programs.

All I care about is what the Longhorns did. Mack will rue the day he passed up coming to Texas. It was an overall good day for the Horns.

Texas will get good agin for sure.

Still, I'm betting that Texas never duplicates that decade run they had in the Brown era again. What was it, 10 straight 10-11 win seasons and 6-7 top ten finishes, and maybe 4-5 top 6?
Also 2 title games and almost 4.

It may have been time for him to go, but my guess is that will never be matched...I guess unless the season goes to 14 games or something.

It'll be tough to match it with how good the teams in the Big 12 are now. It used to be UT, OU and a bunch of middle of the pack teams. Now, you have OU, OSU, Baylor, TCU, WV. Texas will be back as a/the power in that conference in the next couple years, but I don't see other teams getting weaker.

I don't follow National Signing Day but I'm curious about one thing. Why does Snoop Dogg have to steal his son's spotlight too? Can't he just let his son do his thing without making it all about Snoop?

The Top 10 College Football Recruiting Classes of 2015
DJ Gallo Feb 5th, 2015 0 Comment

1. Alabama

Recruiting analysts unanimously say the Crimson Tide brought in a great class. And if there’s anyone you want to trust in life, it’s middle-aged men who spend all of their time evaluating the physical attributes of teenage boys.

2. Ohio State
The Buckeyes’ class is mixed. Several of their supposedly top signees weren’t desired by other schools. But players Urban Meyer has slated as future third-stringers are likely to be among the greatest players in the entire nation.

3. USC
The Trojans lost out on Snoop Dogg’s son to UCLA, but they were able to reel in several sons Sir Mix-a-lot had with various women, whose giant ***** should help them be star linemen.

4. Tennessee
Tennessee got a lot of good recruits for some reason, which is the best evidence yet that this ’90s retro fad is getting way out of hand.

5. Texas
Charlie Strong’s class was initially ranked a little higher, but he dismissed several of them from the team as they were making their announcements.
