Credit to Dook for the Va win... The were up against it...
I tell you, Quinn Cook is really showing a lot of heart this year..... he showed it in the SJU game as well..
and Okafur is an amazing post talent... reminds me of Al Jefferson, but with better floor vision....

Seton Hall has just collapsed, While Temple is making a run.
UK keeps rolling, Kansas takes a loss, but their schedule has ben brutal, can only help in the tourney.
Okafur, with all his ability to score in the paint, is a terrible defender and an average rebounder. Would not surprise me one bit if the potential of Karl Townes proves too much and he is the first pick come draft time.

A little from HS prospects...

Manute Bol Son..
Bol Bol, at 14

Man Child frosh Marvin Bagley.... best skills i've seen from a player his height and age since Thon Maker

And Mister Maker himself, just reclassified to 15, so we will see him in the 16' Draft... Kid is a superstar in waiting.

UK... obviously tough, but what makes them tougher is the improvement of Andrew Harrison. Starting to beat defenders with his patience and vision.... in HS he did it with size and athleticism. Townes,Cauley-Stein, Johnson.... three headed monster.

Good week for WVU basketball, ... beat Kansas at home and then turned around and beat Oklahoma St. at their place, .. which is a tough place to win.

Maybe they have picked the right time to start finding themselves, and begin playing their best basketball.

I saw that and was impressed because they sit in 4th now if I recall. A good showing at the tourney should get them a good seed.

They don't shoot the ball that well, so they struggle to score the basketball.

They find other ways to win, but that may not always be good enough.

I do think their style of pressure, pressure, pressure will give a team fits that hasn't seen it before, .. like in the NCAA's.

The other Big 12 teams that see it all of the time are figuring it out somewhat., .. or at least how to deal with it and slow it down.

Teams that aren't ready for it will struggle with it.

once a big east team, always a big east team...
definitely a big east staple... butler, & K Jones could score the rock pretty well in their day.

Huggins realizes that, and he is in the process of changing his style of play, and type of players to fit the Big 12.

It is just that we lost two real good 3 pt shooters from last year and the kids that took their place are freshman, so they are inconsistent.

Not great at the free throws early on either.

Miss the old system when pittsnoggle was nailing threes lol

Tar Heels about to tip off vs. Louisville. #19 vs #14. Wish I wasn't stuck at work :(

I'm going #19 in a mild upset, North Carolina...

Every year I am less informed on the College BB scene than the year before. When I did my bracket today I had no idea of each team's strength and weaknesses. That would have been unheard of from me 15-20 years ago. I've lost interest because of the new eligibility rules (among other reasons). If I win the office bracket this year it would be by sheer luck. I did enjoy watching the games last night and I'm sure I'll enjoy the tournament, but watching a normal game during the season just doesn't do it for me anymore.

UD has a play-in game tonight....at home? Boise St. should protest by not taking the court for a few minutes. That is complete BS.
