well, he considers himself a 'top five' nfl receiver - so I'd say he's not lagging too too far behind TO in the ego department.

he also wants top five receiver bucks, and JJ is paying top dollar for TO and TG already..

..but HUGE props to this man for socking it to cheapies Kraft and Belichicken and making it clear he for one will not succumb to the prevailing NE MO, which is pretty much a 'pleasure of our company' line..take less to play in NE because you're surounded with so much "genius".

even HUGER props to him if it gets proven you can't rely on the Troy Browns of this league forever, and that Genius # 1 was Mr Weis..

NE seems to think they can afford that philosphy on offense as long as Brady is the QB and is running the show.

Not good news for Brady. He doesn't like the fact that Branch is disgruntled, and now is seeking a trade. He's probably a little more peeved now.

What exactly do the Eagles need to do to "leitimize" themselves? In case you haven't noticed, they were one of the league's most dominant teams for a considerable stretch

I would deal for Branch in a heartbeat, even if it cost us our first next year. Branch is a proven vet and that is worth much more than an unproven rookie to me. Should TO or Glenn miss any time Crayton starts. Maybe for a game or two that would be OK. For 5 or 6 games, no thanks. Especially if we are talking a playoff game.

Any of our cap/rules experts know how that would work? He's still under contract to the Pats for another year, so they'd get some sort of compensation. What type of compensation would they realistically be looking at?

probably a 2nd, at least

he's their best WR and an up and comer...he'll garner at least a 1st rd pick in return, maybe a 1st and something else

Agreed, plus he is looking for a contract of $6M + /year. So no way do I give up a 1st rounder AND eat up that more cap space on wide receiver considering how much money is tied up in that position now.

Also, I think this is more posturing by NE than a serious attempt to trade him.

I think Deion Branch needs to call Alvin Harper for advice.

Hey, LaTuna! Good to see you posting more often again. I agree with your sentiment, but I'm not sure I would call giving back $14,000 a day "socking it to them". Especially if he holds out all but six games of the season as the article implies is a possibility.

On a general note, I don't want to trade for a disgruntled WR in the last year of his contract. Too much chance he walks the following year.

Oh...more perverts coming out...!

Nothing wrong with dreaming about her...but, if you're gonna dream, at least dream BIG!

Now, I do admit I have sometimes dreamed about movie stars...but, I only dream about if I had their money....

oh well looks like the skins will be adding a new WR to their team. i think they'll trade a WR, first round pick and they'll give Branch 50 percent ownership to the team and a brand new spanking jet

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the Patriots would only trade Deion Branch if they were compensated with a first-round pick.

That means a team would likely have to fork over a No. 1 pick in addition to Reggie Wayne money. If this is the case, Branch is highly unlikely to be dealt.
