How can any serious poster consider using this guys mistake as a tool to strike out at the Eagles franchise and Buckhalter himself.

I consider myself a serious poster. I've taken shots at Tom Brady when the rumors were that 2 different (gorgeous) women were pregnant with his child. I posted a thread this weekend taking a shot at Michael Strahan. I don't see you making the same defense of him as you now attempt with Buckhalter. Why not?

Where is your vitriol when yet another Bengals player makes the news for a misdeed? Every single Bengals arrest has warranted a thread and there have been many comments aimed at the Bengals. How come you don't say a pious word in those threads?

Your Eagles and their players and fans are going to get ripped on this forum. Get over it already.

I'll bet there are some posters (not just here), that have identical if not similar situations. It's just not ethically right.

I actually can relate because there is a girl claiming i have a 7 year old son. I have never met this girl. I did all the things the state required and am still waiting for her results. What amazes me is if i did nothing...by default she would be rewarded with child support. The system is seriously flawed.

I'm lost. How does she know who you are if you've never met her and how could you be docked child support if you did nothing?

I have no idea. I was givin papers saying i had to show up for child support court for a 7 year old son (if i didn’t show, they would begin to take from my paychecks). I showed but she didn’t. I asked for a DNA test and was able to get that done. They have to be able to find her and test her, then i will have to appear again to court for the results.

That's just crazy. Could someone have used your name? Could it be a similar name and she simply made a mistake? Could she have given you a false name that you know her by, and this is her real name?

Holy cow man, I can't even fathom how far your heart must have dropped.

However, here I am a little surprised ...primarily because you must surely realize that I am aware of the fact that Eagle players and fans get "ripped" on this forum. I wear two layers of extra skin that I've grown since being here.

My comments were merely a different perspective; my outlook...not meant to be construed as being thin-skinned. I have and can handle much, much more than comments toward Buckhalter's extra curricular activities.

Don't try and tell me that Michael Irvin being accused of assaulting a contractor didn't elicit some negative feedback on Eagles forums. I'm not that naive. Without even looking I know he got roasted. That's the way the game is played on an opposing board.

Michael Irvin has always been one of my favorite all-time NFL players. I'm not touching any comments that has anything negative to do with Michael Irvin ...I've learned my lesson a long time ago about that!

Haha, yes my legal name is very common. The child support lady i talked to told me that mistakes happen often, more than people realize. But yea, it’s a freaky thing to happen.

Once my name is cleared i probably won’t get an apology either. Not the first time the law has made a mistake involving me.

I can relate sort of. I got an arrest warrant because a former friend gave my name and birthdate to a police officer when he got pulled over for speeding. I had to prove I was in another state on the day in question. I know it was him because that is who the car in the citation was registered to. I never drove his car in my life. If I ever see that guy again I will give him a set of fold back teeth.

Whether Buckhalter is the father or not, he messed up by not responding to the original complaint, for whatever reason. If your money is that damned important to you then take the required steps to protect it. It's the law! You were accused/petitioned, answer the summons!

As for the court counting his gross income rather than his net income.........boo hoo. Cry me a river. Welcome to the world of child support! Every support paying mother/father in Nebraska are held to the EXACT SAME income parameters as Buckhalter (each state has it's own parameters). The rules don't change for you because you're a pro athlete.

Buckhalter may VERY WELL NOT be the father. Too bad he didn't feel the need to address that issue in court when he was summoned. Now he pays. Wise up or pay up. He missed out on the wise up now it's time for the latter. I don't feel one ounce of symathy for someone that stupid.
