Our scheme with Dak as QB won't produce against high caliber defenses, meaning those with high-caliber DL and Corners who can go 1:1 and cover the short passes in tight man.
The biggest issue with the scheme is:
1. We almost always run out of a run formation and pass out of pass formations. We don't run enough plays where the Defense has to hedge against a run, short pass or deep route, all in the same play.
2. Little misdirection. Jet sweep? Draw? Misdirection runs? Don't see much of that.
3. Too vanilla. Play designs are simple, which is ok if you can beat the guy in front of you, but not win the opposing D has elite talent.
4. Dak isn't much of an improviser, so he won't create big plays on his own like Romo did. He will run the system, which is going to struggle against elite talent on D.
