Need anymore proof that the NBA is a joke? Stuff like this is the reason my NBA fandom stopped in 2005.

Ron Artest should have been suspended indefinitely after what he did. This isn't the first, or the 5th time. The guy has been suspended more game than exists in an entire season. Then he pulls this **** and only gets 7 games?

NBA = Trash.

If I were James Harden, I would sue the every living **** out of the NBA. If I were other players, I would join the suit and make it class action accusing the NBA of not protecting the players from dog **** like Artest.

Artest's NBA career should be over.

Yeah, that was extremely dangerous... He could have really, really hurt Harden. Imagine if he got him squarely in the temple.

while i personally agree he should have gotten a longer suspension, i just dont think the nba could make it longer. the longest suspension ever for an elbow before was 2 games! and there have been some pretty bad elbows! i bet people try to instigate things with him now though, he is going to have a VERY tough time for at least these playoffs

If anything his suspension is too much. 5 would've been just fine, but of course Dictator Stern added two more games. Personally I'm fine with 7, but I think 5 would've been more appropriate.

Yeah the trade was vetoed so we wouldn't have the two best guards in basketball on our team in Kobe & CP3. It was a perfectly fair trade as we give up one of the best bigs in the game in Pau Gasol and at the time the reigning 6th man of the year in LO. Also **** about me being a bandwagoner if that was the case I wouldn't still be here talking about the Cowboys. **** with that nonsense.

i hate the lakers as much as anyone, if i were to ever see derek fisher in the streets, i would boo him! but there are a few things being discussed here that are just not right, firstly by C&LF, gasol is better than bynum right now, maybe in a year he will be better, and if he stays healthy he will have the better career, but right now, gasol is better. and to the gasol haters, he is literally the second best big man in the league, only dwight howard is better, thats no joke! gasol is good, excellent, rebounder, passer, shooter, good post moves, decent defensively, he is taller than almost every power forward in the league!

now, as for the trade, the reason that was a bad trade for the hornets, and the reason that stern vetoed it, THE ONLY REASON, is because he was trying to get the team ready to be sold, and he couldnt take on those contracts, no matter how good those players are! it had NOTHING to do with some ridiculous vendetta against the league's cash cow, come on, get real! it was a business decision for the viability of the franchise, so that the new owner could shape it with lots of cap space and picks.
