My fiance and I are going to see her father in Frisco this weekend and I'm looking for a good breakfast. I'd be willing to drive 30mins or so for someplace with good food or a unique atmosphere.

I don't mind a 30min drive, I'm used to it living in the northern burbs of Houston. Thanks for the suggestion ACF.

If anyone else has a suggestion it would be appreciated.

I read the post. Frisco is just a bit north. Probably more than half an hour but...

So your girlfriend is your fiancee now? Congratulations!

Maybe I should step down so I can get a life, too. :D

Outstanding my friend!

What part of San Francisco does he live in? Frisco has several good spots so it might be easier to figure out if you know where he lives.

Oh, out near Plano. OK, well, no idea in Frisco. However, I do like the Original Pan Cake House in Plano, out on I75.

Sorry, no real help here.

Here ya go D. The Allen Cafe.

If you really want a nice experience, drive out 121 to Grapevine and eat at the Gaylord Texan or Great Wolf Lodge. Both have killer breakfast buffets.

I live in beautiful, crime free, Frisco. Would you like a real suggestion. Try Mattito's. It is on main street, across from Pizza Hut Park, home of FC Dallas. You can't miss it. Art deco style with patio seating. They offer a wonderful breakfast brunch with all of your typical breakfast fare. They also have Tex Mex favorites and there is an omelette station. My family goes there on Sundays, quite often. You will not leave hungry.

Frankly Duane, the above sounds awesome and hard to beat. I think I will have try this place myself.

However, if you are in the mood for more traditional type breakfast I can also suggest :

Their omelettes are awesome!

Denny's. Best breakfast around. Why pay more? There isn't much you can do to make breakfast great other than bringing your own Vermont syrup. Pancakes, eggs, toast, orange juice and coffee.
