I think I may have my home finally sold here and will be moving back to Texas, most likely the Houston area.

My question is if anyone knows a good CPA in the Houston area? The one I use now is in L.A. on a referral from Annie Duke, and since I'm moving I would prefer someone closer to where I'll be living. Any help would be appreciated.

The only advise I can give you is, hold your nose! :D

Good idea BP, thanks

I don't know any CPAs in the Houston, but I can ask around for sure. I do have some contacts from networking.

My friend who is in accounting works more as a project manager than an accountant now.

You could also ask your current CPA if he/she has any contacts in the Houston area or if they can refer you to an organization with which to research.

That would be great WG....from past experience CPA's hate losing clients so getting help there is a longshot...especially a good one

Well, I put a post on my Fb page for recommendations. If I don't get any feedback, then I'll hit up a couple mailing lists that I know. I won't be able to recommend them personally, but at least you'll have a place to start.
