The Cowboys don't play with confidence. Jimmy Johnson talked about that. Not only getting the players to believe they can win, but the players have to expect they are going to win.

Good teams that have that confidence aren't always playing on their heels.

Yep. Hard play action and aggressive throws down field. Dak has to trust the protection. Guys need to step up and maintain their blocks.

Script the first drive, and go no huddle to start the game. They seem to perform best in the hurry-up offense. They don't need to stick with it the whole game, but catch them off guard to start.

The key to a fast start is knowing where the defense is weak and devising a plan to attack it. If Moore sticks to his "let's use the first two series to get a feel for the defense" plan the slow starts will continue. It's like they don't even look at film sometimes.

Fast starts? Sorry man, we don’t have that page in Kellens book. We still use the front page in Garrett’s chapter to open the game. Run in the middle, run in the middle, check down to TE, punt.

Zeke was averaging near five yards a carry in the opener against the Bucs. He ended up with like 12 carries, because Moore put in Pollard. Pollard's didn't do much in that game. So maybe they should stop featuring Pollard and run their workhorse.
