Last season I hope we drafted Tyreek Hill, his 4.29 40 time just make other ST or defense awe or he would take it to the house.

Look at this offense, only speedster is Butler, who is somewhat lack the initial burst. We don't have a true deep-threat like Terry Glenn or Miles Austin. This team live and die by the ball-controlling offense. One the ground game not going well, we are in big trouble, It is also difficult to score quickly when needed.

And who is the fast guy on defense and ST? I can only reckon Byron Jones. Ryan "Mr. Beans" Switzer is small but his 40 time is 4.52, not so great.

IMO, ball skills can be trained, but speed can't.

Dont we have some younger guys to look at? Technically i thought that was why we brought in butler, but i could be wrong.

I mean i would hope Dallas would bring in guys to look at, but it seems the offense doesnt want to move past Witten and Dez.

It is time to start fadeing out Witten. I know it is taboo to talk about that but he is now hindering the efficiency. Got to get younger and faster at TE.
The time to 'fade' him out is LONG gone....he needs to simply be let go...and let him chase a ring elsewhere. It ain't happening in Dallas anytime soon! This is an 8-8 outfit!

Yep, we need a TE that is good for more than 6-8 yards. Right now Dak has the Beese as his outlet, Dak needs a TE that can do a little more than Witten at this point. Ebron of the Lions may be avail. Any interest?

Lord, imagine the flack we would have with Zeke and Hill on the same team.
One admitted DV abuser(hit his pregnant GF), and one who the NFL is trying to label as one.

The dude is a baller on the field, but he had a dark off the field past which caused him to go to that small school and get drafted in the 5th round.

Now we're talking about getting rid of Witten? SMH

He's old and slow, but still gets open, and catches every ball. Witten is not the problem. The problem is when we throw a 4-yard pass to Witten on 3rd and 8.

Need for Speed

No place is this more apparent than LB. Member Jimmy's LBs swarming to the ball, even though they were small? When Landry came up with the 4-3, DL main job was to keep OL off the LBs, they then clean up and make plays. Our LBs look like they have cement loafers.

The decision on when to "fade out" Witten has nothing to do with his receiving. It's about when he can't make the blocks anymore. Sadly, I think we may be there.

They have looked at faster LBs but always come up short.

They thought they had Shazier that one draft.
There was another LBer they liked that was a pass rushing threat in that same draft, Anthony Barr, but the vikings grabbed him before our pick.

There was a choice between Myles and Jaylon.
The cowboys decided to trust their own Doctor and go with Jaylon.

I agree, more toys are always great.

But this team's problems are overwhelmingly on the other side of the ball.

Why do you think Ebron is available? He sucks.

Problem with Witten is that at this point in his career, they will not give him a lesser role unless he willingly volunteers for it and he definitely won't. So get used to the 5 yard routes for the next 5 years

Tyreek Hill hit his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach
but hes fast!
we regret not taking him really? i dont

The problem is that there is no one else right now to replace him. Our Bball TE is still in concussion protocol, probably not ready to play full time anyway and is currently not on the active roster so we will continue to roll with Witten for this year at least.

And the fans’ booing? Ebron says it doesn’t affect him.

“Hell, no,” he said with a laugh. “They can … boo all they want to, you know what I’m saying?

That's the kind of player I want on my team!

We could sign a TE that outruns usian bolt and we would still throw short of the sticks on 3 rd down
