I'll be in Atlanta (work) for the season opener, downtown area.
Anybody know a good place to watch the game?

Been a while since I was out there, but Buckhead always had some good spots to hang out at. edit: It will be a nationally televised game, so any bar should do

anywhere, including your hotel if you are staying at one...

I believe its the national TV game as pasrt of the doubleheader, so you should be fine regardless of where you are.

Otherwise, Jocks & Jills, Barnacles, ESPN Zone, DanTanna's...any of those will have it on.

I dunno, but make sure you get wherever it is for the start of the game because it's going to be over quickly.

Avoid Buckhead. Buckhead is nothing like it once was as they forced out almost all of the bars and clubs and put high rise condos in place of them (which nobody will live in with the housing market going in the crapper). I'd also avoid the ESPN Zone. I went there once and they had a minimum *drink* tab of $30 to watch the games.

Jocks and Jills only has 1 location left in Atlanta and it's out on the perimeter pretty far away from the downtown area. I would suggest Taco Mac (www.tacomac.com) or Stool Pigeons (www.stoolpigeons.com). If you don't want to go to those, just ask around for a local sports bar to watch the game and somebody should be able to give you one nearby.

Thanks a lot guys, I guess the ESPNZone is kinda like the cowboys, people either love it or hate it.

I'm not single, but I might enjoy it anyway, just 'cause you're on a diet doesn't mean you can't look at the menu. ;)
