2010 NFL Draft Position Rankings:
QB | RB | FB | WR | TE | OT | OG | C | DE | DT | OLB | ILB | CB | S | K | P

2011 NFL Draft Position Rankings:
QB | RB |

  1. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Tennessee_logo.gif Eric Berry*, S, Tennessee - Scouting Report
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 195.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.36.
Projected Round (2010): Top 8 Pick.

3/13/09: One of the best safety prospects to come along in a very long time. Eric Berry, a first-team All-American, had 72 tackles, 8.5 TFL, six passes broken up, three sacks and a whopping seven interceptions (two for touchdowns) as a mere sophomore. Safeties seldom go in the top five, but Berry could be an exception.

8/6/08: If Eric Berry declares early, he'll most likely be the fastest safety at the combine. As a freshman, Berry started every game and was named SEC Defensive Freshman of the Year. He recorded 86 tackles and five interceptions.
  2. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/USC_logo.gif Taylor Mays, FS/SS, USC - Scouting Report
    Height: 6-4. Weight: 225.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.42.
Projected Round (2010): Top 10 Pick.

5/23/09: Raider fans, start buying your Taylor Mays jerseys right now.

12/14/08: With 49 tackles and eight tackles for loss, Taylor Mays was named a First-Team All-American. Mays' freakish athleticism makes him a likely top-10 candidate.

5/19/08: Taylor Mays' size and speed combination is sick, and what could ultimately allow him to be the first safety taken in April 2009.

2007: A 6-4, 225-pound safety who runs a 4.3? Pretty sick. As a freshman, Taylor Mays started 12 games, recorded 62 tackles and picked off three passes.

  3. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Georgia_logo.gif Reshad Jones*, FS/SS, Georgia
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 207.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.50.
Projected Round (2009): Top 20 Pick.

5/23/09: As a sophomore, Reshad Jones managed 76 tackles, five interceptions and three passes broken up.
  4. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Texas_logo.gif Earl Thomas**, FS, Texas
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 195.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.41.
Projected Round (2009): Top 25 Pick.

3/13/09: Despite being just a redshirt freshman, Earl Thomas was an All-Big XII honorable mention. He broke up 11 passes, and also collected 70 tackles, three TFL and two picks.
  5. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Vanderbilt_logo.gif Myron Lewis, FS, Vanderbilt
    Height: 6-3. Weight: 202.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.52.
    Projected Round (2009): 1-2.

3/13/09: Myron Lewis had a dominant season for Vanderbilt, collecting 76 tackles, five sacks, seven TFL, five interceptions and six passes broken up.
  6. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Florida_logo.gif Major Wright*, FS, Florida
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 205.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.48.
    Projected Round (2010): 1-2.

3/13/09: In his sophomore year, Major Wright broke up six passes and logged four interceptions (one for a touchdown).

8/6/08: As a true freshman, Major Wright started seven games and recorded 67 tackles. He qualified for the Freshman All-American second team.
  7. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Kansas_logo.gif Darrell Stuckey, S, Kansas
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 205.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.52.
    Projected Round (2010): 2-3.

5/27/09: Darrell Stuckey had a great junior campaign, registering 98 tackles, seven passes broken up, five picks and 4.5 TFL.
  8. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/OhioState_logo.gif Anderson Russell, FS, Ohio State
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 205.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.52.
    Projected Round (2010): 3-4.

3/13/09: Anderson Russell, Russell Anderson, whatever his name is, had 67 tackles, three passes broken up and two interceptions as a junior.

8/6/08: Anderson Russell (or is it Russell Anderson?) started every game as a sophomore. He managed 63 tackles (seven for loss), five pass break-ups and three sacks, earning an All-Big Ten honorable mention. Russell had a nasty knee injury that caused him to miss half of his redshirt freshman campaign.
  9. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/SouthFlorida_logo.gif Nate Allen, FS, South Florida
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 206.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.52.
    Projected Round (2010): 3-4.

3/13/09: Nate Allen registered 53 tackles, two TFL, one sack and a pick in 2008.

8/6/08: Nate Allen had an incredible sophomore campaign. He started all 13 games, and recorded 86 tackles, eight pass break-ups and four interceptions.
  10. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Alabama_logo.gif Justin Woodall, S, Alabama
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 220.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.53.
    Projected Round (2010): 3-4.

3/13/09: Justin Woodall finally entered the starting lineup where he thrived, totaling 47 tackles, four interceptions (one for a touchdown) and eight passes broken up.

8/6/08: Justin Woodall has pretty great measurables, so he'll get looked at by some teams. Unfortunately, he was nothing more than a special-teamer on Alabama who saw action in just five games as a sophomore.
  11. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/EastCarolina_logo.gif Van Eskridge, S, East Carolina
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 200.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.54.
    Projected Round (2010): 3-4.

3/13/09: Though his name may lead people to believe that he's some artist, Van Eskridge totaled 97 tackles, four interceptions (one for a touchdown) and three passes broken up. He was a member of the All-Conference USA First Team.

8/6/08: Though Van Eskridge has been a good contributor at East Carolina (12 starts, 55 tackles), he may have trouble finding a spot in the NFL. He's not tall or quick enough to be a free safety, while his size and tackling ability limits his strong safety prospects.

  12. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/VirginiaTech_logo.gif Kam Chancellor, S, Virginia Tech
    Height: 6-4. Weight: 225.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.50.
    Projected Round (2010): 4-5.

12/14/08: Kam Chancellor struggled at times this year. He finished with 51 tackles and three passes broken up.

2007: An extremely athletic safety - seems like this draft class is laden with guys like that.
  13. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Baylor_logo.gif Jordan Lake, FS, Baylor
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 205.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.56.
    Projected Round (2010): 4-5.

3/13/09: Thanks to 97 tackles, seven passes broken up and three interceptions, Jordan Lake was voted to the All-Big XII First Team.

8/6/08: A member of the All-Big XII second team, Jordan Lake accumulated 120 tackles, six pass break-ups and two interceptions as a sophomore. Unfortunately, Lake has been banged up during his collegiate career. In 2006, it was a broken collar bone. Last year, it was a shoulder injury that required offseason surgery.
  14. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/LouisianaTech_logo.gif Antonio Baker, FS, Louisiana Tech
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 200.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.47.
    Projected Round (2010): 4-5.

3/13/09: Earning All-WAC First Team honors for the second year in a row, Antonio Baker accumulated 115 tackles, 4.5 TFL, three interceptions and four passes broken up in 2008.

8/6/08: An All-WAC First Team member, Antonio Baker registered 118 tackles and three interceptions. He started every game for Louisiana Tech.
  15. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/WestVirginia_logo.gif Quinton Andrews, SS, West Virginia
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 210.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.49.
    Projected Round (2010): 4-5.

3/13/09: Quinton Andrews logged 77 tackles, six pass break-ups and four TFL as a junior.

8/6/08: Quinton Andrews has started 21 of 23 games he's played in. He missed some action last season with a minor knee injury. As a sophomore, he registered 51 tackles and four pass break-ups.
  16. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/FloridaState_logo.gif Myron Rolle, SS, Florida State
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 218.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.46.
    Projected Round (2010): 5-6.

3/13/09: Rarely do you see a football player choose academics over athletics. Still, I didn't like how Myron Rolle abandoned his team in a very important game to interview for a scholarship.

5/19/09: Myron Rolle's triangle numbers pale in comparison to Taylor Mays', but a 4.4 from a 6-2, 218-pound safety ain't too shabby. Rolle has 23 consecutive starts entering the 2008 campaign.

2007: A player with no weaknesses in his game, Myron Rolle started the final 10 games of his freshman year, finishing third on the team with 77 tackles.
  17. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Connecticut_logo.gif Robert Vaughn, FS, Connecticut
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 192.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.49.
    Projected Round (2010): 5-6.

3/13/09: Logged only one interception after picking off seven in 2007. Still, Robert Vaughn was an All-Big East second-teamer. He had 67 tackles and three passes broken up.

8/6/08: Robert Vaughn started 11 games as a sophomore and picked off seven passes. He also had 56 tackles and broke up four passes. Vaughn started two games as a freshman.
  18. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Stanford_logo.gif Bo McNally, SS, Stanford
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 208.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.60.
    Projected Round (2010): 5-6.

3/13/09: Bo McNally puts up impressive numbers - 76 tackles, four picks, six TFL - but his 40 his going to really hurt him on Draft Day.

8/6/08: An honorable mention on the All-Pac 10 team, Bo McNally collected an impressive 114 tackles (seven for loss), six pass break-ups and two picks as a sophomore. He started one game as a freshman.
  19. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Toledo_logo.gif Barry Church, SS, Toledo
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 219.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.58.
    Projected Round (2010): 5-6.

3/13/09: Had an outstanding junior campaign, qualifying for the All-MAC First Team with 93 tackles, six passes broken up and 5.5 TFL. However, Barry Church is a safety-linebacker tweener.

8/6/08: Barry Church has started every game in his collegiate career. He has also made the All-MAC first team every year in his collegiate career. In two seasons, Church has 163 tackles (15 for loss), six interceptions and 10 pass break-ups. Not bad.

  20. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Temple_logo.gif Dominique Harris, S, Temple
    Height: 6-3. Weight: 218.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.54.
    Projected Round (2010): 6-7.

3/13/09: Dominique Harris logged 66 tackles, three pass break-ups and three interceptions in his junior campaign.

8/6/08: As a sophomore, Dominique Harris started every game. He recorded 81 tackles, three picks and five pass break-ups. In 2006, Harris started seven contests and broke up four passes.
  21. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/LSU_logo.gif Danny McCray, S, LSU
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 212.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.51.
    Projected Round (2010): 6-7.

3/13/09: Danny McCray struggled early on with an ankle injury. He finished with 53 tackles, two TFL and five passes broken up.

8/6/08: Danny McCray started just three games in 2007, but played a lot as a nickel back. McCray had 64 tackles and four sacks, but was a liability in coverage.
  22. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Nebraska_logo.gif Larry Asante, SS/FS, Nebraska
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 210.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.52.
    Projected Round (2010): 6-7.

3/13/09: Once again voted as an All-Big XII honorable mention, Larry Asante collected 67 tackles, four passes broken up and a pick in 2008.

8/6/08: A JUCO transfer in 2006, Larry Asante started 10 games in his first year in Nebraska. He had 78 tackles and was an honorable mention on the All-Big XII team.
  23. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/BowlingGreen_logo.gif P.J. Mahone, S, Bowling Green
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 202.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.49.
    Projected Round (2010): 6-7.

3/13/09: In addition to recording 97 tackles, P.J. Mahone also broke up seven passes and snagged three interceptions.

8/6/08: Here's a weird stat - P.J. Mahone picked off more passes (seven) than games started (six). He also had 90 tackles.
  24. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Michigan_logo.gif Stevie Brown, S, Michigan
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 209.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.44.
    Projected Round (2010): 7-FA.

3/13/09: Stevie Brown saw more action in his junior campaign; he notched 64 tackles, 1.5 TFL, two picks and three passes broken up.

8/6/08: Stevie Brown's 40 will get him noticed, as there's an outside chance he can run a 4.3. That said, Brown started just one game as a sophomore, getting benched right after the season opener.
  25. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Arizona_logo.gif Cam Nelson, SS, Arizona
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 200.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.49.
    Projected Round (2009): 7-FA.

3/13/09: An honorable mention on the All-Pac 10 Team, Cam Nelson accumulated 67 tackles, five passes broken up and three TFL in 2008.
  26. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/SouthernMiss_logo.gif Eddie Hicks, FS, Southern Miss
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 185.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.44.
    Projected Round (2010): 7-FA.

3/13/09: Qualifying for the All-Conference USA Second Team, Eddie Hicks notched 64 tackles, four interceptions, three passes broken up and 3.5 TFL.

8/6/08: Eddie Hicks started every game as a sophomore and accumulated 84 tackles. His 40 will impress scouts, GMs and Al Davis.
  27. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/UTEP_logo.gif Da'Mon Cromartie-Smith, FS, UTEP
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 205.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.56.
    Projected Round (2010): 7-FA.

3/13/09: An All-Conference USA honorable mention, Da'Mon Cromartie-Smith finished his junior campaign with 77 tackles, three passes broken up and two interceptions.

8/6/08: This Cromartie hopes he's as good as the other two. Da'Mon started every game as a sophomore, and logged 90 tackles, seven pass break-ups and two picks. Needs a better 40 to warrant draft consideration.
  28. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Nebraska_logo.gif Rickey Thenarse, FS, Nebraska
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 195.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.51.
    Projected Round (2010): 7-FA.

3/13/09: Missed some time with a collar bone injury. Logged 24 tackles, five TFL and two sacks.

8/6/08: A reserve safety who starred primarily on special teams. Rickey Thenarse managed 28 tackles as a sophomore.
  29. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Rice_logo.gif Andrew Sendejo, SS, Rice
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 213.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.55.
    Projected Round (2010): 7-FA.

3/13/09: Despite missing two games with an ankle sprain, Andrew Sendejo was voted as an All-Conference USA honorable mention, thanks to 94 tackles, three passes broken up and three interceptions.

8/6/08: Andrew Sendejo put up monstrous numbers as a sophomore, including 107 tackles and five interceptions. He also forced three fumbles as a freshman.
  30. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Wisconsin_logo.gif Shane Carter, FS, Wisconsin
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 203.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.48.
    Projected Round (2010): 7-FA.

3/13/09: Suspended in 2008 for violating team rules. Really fell off in 2008.

8/6/08: Shane Carter will score some points with a nice 40. Not like he needs it though; Carter picked off seven passes as a sophomore. He started every game.
  31. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/VirginiaTech_logo.gif Cam Martin, SS/OLB, Virginia Tech
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 216.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.59.
    Projected Round (2010): 7-FA.

3/13/09: Cam Martin, a linebacker-safety tweener, had 51 tackles, 5.5 TFL, two sacks, three passes broken up and three forced fumbles in 2008.

8/6/08: An outside linebacker at Virginia Tech who will have to transition to strong safety. Cam Martin had 78 tackles, 4.5 sacks and six pass break-ups as a sophomore.
  32. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/ColoradoState_logo.gif Klint Kubiak, FS, Colorado State
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 200.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.46.
    Projected Round (2010): 7-FA.

3/13/09: Once again suffered a season-ending knee injury. This guy just can't stay healthy.

8/6/08: The son of Gary Kubiak, Klint was a star in the making (or at least a solid NFL safety) until he was hospitalized with internal bleeding, an ulcer and low blood pressure. Kubiak played just two games in 2007, so he was awarded a medical redshirt. As a true sophomore in 2006, Kubiak started all but one game, and totaled 90 tackles and six tackles for loss. We'll see how effective he is in 2008.
  33. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Utah_logo.gif Robert Johnson, FS, Utah
    Height: 6-3. Weight: 193.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.47.
    Projected Round (2010): FA.

3/13/09: Despite 41 tackles, four interceptions and three passes broken up, Robert Johnson lost his job at some point in 2008. He also dealt with a hamstring injury.

8/6/08: Robert Johnson started seven games as a sophomore, as he was battling shoulder problems all year. He picked off three passes and qualified as an All-Mountain West honorable mention.
  34. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/VirginiaTech_logo.gif Dorian Porch, SS, Virginia Tech
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 211.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.51.
    Projected Round (2010): FA.

3/13/09: Didn't see much playing time until 2008. As a junior, Dorian Porch recorded 48 tackles, four passes broken up and four TFL.
  35. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/VirginiaTech_logo.gif Cody Grimm, SS, Virginia Tech
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 207.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.58.
    Projected Round (2009): FA.

3/13/09: Played linebacker for Virginia Tech in 2008, totaling 71 tackles, 14 TFL and 7.5 sacks. Unfortunately, Cody Grimm is nowhere big enough to be a linebacker in the NFL. He'll have to move to safety.
  36. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/UCLA_logo.gif Aaron Ware, FS, UCLA
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 193.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.51.
    Projected Round (2010): FA.

3/13/09: Had just 15 tackles on the year. Nothing else of note.

8/6/08: Another backup/special teams safety. The less-talented brother of NFL defensive back Matt Ware.
  37. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/SouthernIllinois_logo.gif Chauncey Mixon, SS/OLB, Southern Illinois
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 218.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.55.
    Projected Round (2010): FA.

3/13/09: Playing outside linebacker for the Salukis, Chauncey Mixon registered 15 TFL and five sacks. He'll have to move to safety in the NFL unless he really bulks up.

8/6/08: Chauncey Mixon, a member of the All-Gateway second team, collected 118 tackles (14.5 for loss), seven pass break-ups and five sacks as a sophomore.
  38. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/OklahomaState_logo.gif Andre Sexton, SS/OLB, Oklahoma State
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 218.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.54.
    Projected Round (2010): FA.

3/13/09: Andre Sexton (not in the city - Chris Berman) had 100 tackles, four TFL, 1.5 sacks and four passes broken up. A linebacker-safety tweener.

8/6/08: Andre Sexton finished his sophomore campaign with 69 tackles. He started every game for the Cowboys.
  39. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/MiamiOfOhio_logo.gif Jordan Gafford, FS, Miami of Ohio
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 205.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.53.
    Projected Round (2010): FA.

3/13/09: Played in just two games in 2008, thanks to injuries.

8/6/08: As an every-game starter, Jordan Gafford collected 89 tackles and an interception.
  40. http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/college/Tennessee_logo.gif Demetrice Morley, FS, Tennessee
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 195.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.48.
    Projected Round (2010): FA.

3/13/09: Debacled by academics and legal problems. Demetrice Morley was arrested for robbery charges.

8/6/08: Demetrice Morley began his career at Tennessee on the right foot, qualifying for the Freshman All-American second team. In 2006, he had two picks. Unfortunately, he was academically ineligible last year, so he used 2007 as a redshirt season.

if rolle drops to the 4th he would be a great pick with upside imo. but alot of people want a superstar now and we would have to trade up for that.

edit just saw his projected round. i dont believe he will fall that far

I really like a couple of the players that are further down that list-- Myron Rolle, and Robert Johnson... Rolle has the computer numbers you like, and is smart enough to have earned a Rhodes Scholarship... Johnson's ints seem to always come against ranked teams; I like a player who comes up big in the big games...

Johnson may be at a "Crossroads" of his career (only blues fans will get that reference)...

you think we should take him in the third or you dont think he will fall past the third?

either way i agree i just think that if we dont address a safty in the 1st or 2nd that the talent is close enough in the 3-4 range to wait till the 4th and if myron was still there i would take him in a heartbeat cause i think he would have gone end of the 2nd top of 3rd this year had he declaired

Myron Rolle will drop because I think he said that he will stop playing in the NFL when his rookie contract is up. He then wants to be a doctor.

Eric Thomas grabbed his 4th int of the season against Colorado this evening and returned it 92 yards for the score, to put the Horns in the lead...

In honesty, though, it was a gift, but he just flew down the sidelines for the TD...

Im starting to think itll be one of the big 2 or a big FA. A mid round prospect at or below Michael Hamlin level doesnt excite me.

Myron Rolle will play in the NFL as long as he can. His comment about playing in the NFL "6 or 7 years" was more about the average NFL career not lasting that long. He plans on using the money he makes in the NFL to set up medical clinics in the Bahamas. He will go to Medical School whenever his NFL career is over.

Rolle is going to be the kind of player you want representing your franchise. He's off-the-charts intelligent and will be a very good NFL safety. The man has a mission.
