Plenty of TE’s but LB has been picked clean a bit. Ottens and Kohlar I rate very highly as TE’s that IMO could contribute as rookies.
I can't believe Penn State LB Brandon Smith is still available after the 3rd round. 6'3, 245 lbs, 4.52 40 time He will definitely go early in the 4th round. Hope the Cowboys trade up to get him. https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Brandon-Smith-LB-PennState
It doesn't appear that any of the LBs really have fallen past the third round. Dean seemed to be the best shot because of the medicals. Going to be hard to find a Cox this year, but I'm hoping they take a shot or two in the fifth. Darrian Beavers might be an option if we want a big stuffer. Some seem to like Brandon Smith. At tight end, I'm intrigued by Isaiah Likely, but there are others who could be in play (Kolar, Otton, Wydermyer, maybe even Bellinger, Turner or Ferguson). It's a deep TE class and at this point, it's just who you prefer because I'm not sure one is a clear pick over another.
Everything I have heard about him from Dane, BB and Cavanaugh is that he is clueless at LB, has no instincts and makes a lot of mistakes. Dane says your best bet is to move him to DE where he doesn’t have to think.
TE Jaheim Bell https://www.bluechipscouting.com/nfl-draft-articles-1/2022/1/13/2023-nfl-prospect-interview
No surprise. Good player. I think they would have probably taken Kolar if he didn’t come off the board. Ferguson could definitely be a replacement for Schultz next year.
How about Damone Clark LSU? He has to have back surgery but he had like 150 tackles and he ran a 4.5 forty. A redshirt year but could be a steal.
