Need recommendation for buying used books online.

I'm looking for a recommendation for the best place to buy books online.

although I have purchased a number of items online, books are not one of them. I have looked at Amazon, but I'm not totally satisfied with what I found in terms of service.

If I can cut to the chase...are there any online sources that are competitive to Amazon?

Try checking out Barnes & Nobles online, and Half.com. It also depends on what kind of books you're looking for. If you're looking for used college textbooks, I can give you several other websites.

I use Sams club sometimes-prices are often better, especially on new hardcover releases.

But of course, nothing beats Amazon and Barnes and Noble for selection.

For something completely different there's Itunes audio books, if you like that sort of thing.

I used E-bay to buy books last fall and was able to get either barely used to new books for 20% of what I would have paid New at school.

I've also used http://www.abebooks.com/ for rare stuff.

Ebay is about the best palce for used books to buy. You can pretty much find anything.

Be aware of the sellers feedback (always important).

dude, go to half price books. I go to the one by UTA in arlington all the time. I buy books for 5 bucks constantly. I love that place.

Thanks, I forgot about Half Price. There is one about ten minutes from my house. I have to see if they have what I'm looking for.
