Guys, some of you may know that I'm coaching a peewee football team up here this fall.
We had our preseason this past Sunday and I noticed alot of the kids were leaving skin on the turf. The refs were pulling them off onto the sidelines and making coaches from both sides bandage them up. Needless to say this was irritating and the kids weren't even complaining about the rug burn.
Does anyone know what product the players in college and pros use to tape their forearms up? I often see players with a long white strip of tape lengthwise down their forearms, possibly just for this particular reason.
FYI, the kids are playing on an artificial field with polyester green fibre 5 inches long. The fibre is backfilled with crumb rubber from recycled tires. Excellent field and the kids like it, but the sports association who runs the facility does not want any blood on the field so we have to bandage up every little wound.
