Need to be patient with the defense

Only 3 starters from last year with an entire new coaching staff. It wasn’t pretty. It was ugly. Just like last year as soon as the opposition got the ball you knew it would lead to a TD. On offense there were too many dropped passes again and they couldn’t run the ball. And too many penalties all together. Fortunately it’s just game 1 and Parkers defense should get better.

We can be as patient as we want. It won’t fix anything. If the team is going to improve, Jerry has to close his door. Otherwise, the lines of communication will remain muddled.

To steal a line from Mike Fisher. We need to let the cake bake with the defense. The defensive showing today will not be the same as we move forward with the season.

I’m worried more about how flat we came out. Penalties, dropped passes, taunting, no tackling, no energy. Just a flat team. That’s overall coaching and I’m more worried about that than the defense.

Should we be patient with the offense too? I mean 10 years, do we need to wait a little longer to see a Dak offense play up to expectations? We are probably being too hard on him, expecting too much. Maybe in year 15 or 20?

I agree that it's early, and it's partly why I've been harder on Dak than normal. That pick he threw screwed the defence imo, and it was up to him and the offense to help take pressure off the defence. The offense failed to do that.

But the defense can’t be horrific while we are waiting. That’s not acceptable.

they should at least be making some plays and putting up a fight while we are being patient. There is no patient for horrific.

I don't understand why. The Giants have new coordinators and a head coach, but they look like studs out there. No doubt coaching is a big difference.

The $60 million lad was seen throwing off of one foot and later throwing the ball while being tackled.
Dak is hapless, snake-bitten and now he has yet to master mechanics.

EZ looks like he belongs in sumo wrestling…no speed rush around the outside, no inside move, no swim, no nothing,….just running head first into the tackle over and over like this is sumo wrestling…..unless I missed something…..
