Need to be patient with the defense

The zone spacing last night was horrible. Saw a lot of confusion as well similarly to last season. Scary stuff folks.

And this is what I expected with a first time DC and his scheme.....hes just a rookie with one game of experience

My faith of a renewed defense is based only on moves that have been made such as acquiring Quinnen, Downs and several other upgrades.

I would add that part of my long term optimism is also based on who is GONE......they released a bunch of garbage from last season that would be lucky to make practice squads, lol.

Only 3 starters from last year with an entire new coaching staff. It wasn’t pretty. It was ugly. Just like last year as soon as the opposition got the ball you knew it would lead to a TD. On offense there were too many dropped passes again and they couldn’t run the ball. And too many penalties all together. Fortunately it’s just game 1 and Parkers defense should get better.

How about that Dak Interception? Hes had 10 years. That was the ugliest play of the night.

Dead is absolutely necessary. There is no other way to describe this secondary. Dead, dead, dead. Worst of all time. Either they are gambling and taking playoffs or they just plain suck. You decide. Nobody within 30 yards on the td before the half

Give it 4 games to see how it shakes out defensively but everyone knew the Giants were going to try to run the ball down our throats. We got whipped upfront by a below average offensive line.

If you’re going to throw it away. You don’t throw off your back foot, going backwards. So, either it’s scripted or dak is garbage. You decide.

To steal a line from Mike Fisher. We need to let the cake bake with the defense. The defensive showing today will not be the same as we move forward with the season.

I’m worried more about how flat we came out. Penalties, dropped passes, taunting, no tackling, no energy. Just a flat team. That’s overall coaching and I’m more worried about that than the defense.

Still mixing the batter. But do they have the right ingredients (including coaching).

Can't afford to wait too long to hope that this defense improves. Too many offenses on the Cowboys schedule that can do worse to the Cowboys defense than what the Giants offense did. They have the Texans and Ravens coming up.
